Popular Post Edicion Posted June 5, 2023 Popular Post Posted June 5, 2023 I was generously gifted this cigar by friend but it is not my favorite marca I must admit. Took a seat in a bar which is one of the few public places you can still smoke indoors. I was curious about this cigar as some say their full range of flavors won’t develop until they have spent some time aging. This one has been resting since 2007 so hoping it has reached those level by now. The wrapper and cold draw aroma are fragrant and impeccable. Once lit, deep citrus and Caribbean spices straight out of the gates. Throughout the journey, sweet woody undertones with hints of mocha are present but never any pepper. Aging does do wonders – these fresh are almost too mongrel for me, now I can finally see what it can do. It never goes beyond medium in body, and I never had to relight it which is a huge plus in my book. The 1664 Blanc and this corona gorda is the perfect pairing. The citrus flavors complemented and matched each other so well. Great cigar with a drink pairing made in heaven elevated the experience to a 91 / 100. Thanks for reading. 6
