Popular Post El Presidente Posted June 4, 2023 Popular Post Posted June 4, 2023 Launch of Nudie/Desnudo Canonazo this week. Likely Friday. Worst case Monday week. There will be a stand alone new Nudies/Desnudo/MOFOH shopping cart. This has been a long time coming. Hamlet and i have been working on this cigar since September 2022. A 52 Ring gauge cigar (Canonazo) is something new for us as we have largely focused on thinner gauge cigars. We love this Canonazo, I am smoking one now. It is in my regular rotation and I am more than happy to recommend it. Jesus, at $11.96 a stick, it is a no brainer. We wanted sweetness and richness from the get go. No need to age 5 years. You will need to lay them down 30 days. Don't take a short cut.....ok smoke one but make sure the rest last 30 days at least. Tasting notes Honey opening. Under Medium. Aroma of coffee beans, toasted tobacco, molasses. The cigar strolls slowly through the first third and builds intensity. The second third is all bakery/croissant and espresso with a dash of cream. In the last third, a little bit of magic comes into play. Bread and butter pud, almonds and leather all come together. The Canonazo is now medium bodied while occasionally poking its head above into the medium-full bodied range. We love this cigar. The tobacco is all 4+ years of age. Please ensure you rest your cigars the 30 days as you will notice a large difference in the smoking experience.Ageing potential? We already have the honey. I suspect 18 months and this cigar will bat well and truly over 93 points most times. Made By: HBTOV Factory Location: Honduras Dimensions: 6 X 52 Filler: Honduras / Nicaragua Binder: Honduras Wrapper: Honduras Strength: Medium Bullshit? Possibly. Hamlet and I put out this range with only two people to satisfy. Hamet and I. Hammy is a Cuban cigar legend and I am but another punter with a dream that is to produce a range of cigars that deliver complexity and a cubanesque experience that is affordable to all. Where do we make them? Honduras. We have a little factory with Oscar Valaderes who has been superb to work with. I love Oscar. His vision and heart synch perfectly with that of Hamlet amd myself. Over the next month we will be releasing the Canonazo (first), Lancero, Carlota and Petit Corona. Later in the year we will be releasing a Spada Gorda MOFOH (Corona Gorda +), a Fat Fundy (44 gauge), a Queen Corona MOFOH (Corona +) a Petit 109 (BR) a 109 (BR) and a Flying Pig. Why? Many of these sizes( or similar) have been discontinued/abandoned by Habanos let alone taking in todays cost factor. Bugger that. I have a great appreciation for NC and CC cigars, but both Hamlet and I wanted to take a different angle to the the blending and production. Are these the same as we have done in the past? No. Each of our new line is very different. We have access to far better tobacco and rolling teams trained by Hamlet. Hammy is also the blender and while I have an equal input we continue to argue like cat and dog. I love it We also have a FOH tasting panel that has done a fabulous job in providing feedback. We have adjusted severlal blends on the basis of their feedback. Each of you have a direct line to Hamlet and myslef. Consider yourself essential parts of the feedback system. This venture is a significant undertaking by Hamlet amd myself. We will never deliver something that we don't personally love. We look forward to taking you on the journey with ourselves. Never hesitate to recommend new lines and blends. God knows I look forward to taking a FOH group to the fabrica for a weekend masterclass where you can share your input. 27 10
ha_banos Posted June 4, 2023 Posted June 4, 2023 If they are to my palette half as rich and sweet as they sound... Well I'm already salivating 🤤 Hope to stop chasing Cuban customs too with your offerings. Not that you guys have big boots to fill. But, you know that already. So looking forward to trying! Your timing is awful. I might be on holiday when these arrive... The anxiety is real! 1
SCgarman Posted June 4, 2023 Posted June 4, 2023 Surprised nobody part of the tasting panel provided any reviews to the forum, when they clearly had the opportunity to. Nonetheless after several months of delays I am looking forward to these landing on my doorstep. They sound fantastic. Construction and draw on the n3 carlota has been superb. 1

To be fair, the tasting panel has their own forum to post reviews etai. The tasting panel is a resource for Hamlet and myslef. Their mision is to provide feedback in order that we can go away and adjust where necessary. We did adjust the Canonazo to mute (slightly) the honey/sweetness aspect. I think it is a better cigar as a result. I do love a rich and sweet cigar however. There is one strain of tobacco that we are working with that just deilivers that profile in spades. We haven't worked with that strain before so it is a matter of blend, test, reblend, test. Have we got it right? I think so. 7

I have to say thank you to the tasting panel Over the last couple of months, most Sunday nights they took the time to do a live tasting with myself and Hamlet (when not in Honduras). I can't tell you how helpful that was. Hat's off to all who participated 6 2

Low Posted June 4, 2023 Posted June 4, 2023 Well, I believe I have to start smoking more, because I don't think my humidor can hold 25 of those bad boys just yet. I've been wondering what factory you guys had partnered with, and seeing it is Oscar makes me very happy. Lovely man, with great blends at affordable prices. As a newer FOH member, watching the entire process from start to finish has been a real treat, since I wasn't around for the original lancero/carlota development. You never get this kind of behind the scenes access to the creation of a new cigar. Thank you, and take my money 2
cnov Posted June 4, 2023 Posted June 4, 2023 Really can't wait for these, I hope the rumours of enough to go around are true! I had a N3 Carlota Rosado on the beach yesterday and it was hands down one of the best cigars of the year for me, I'm definitely not the most seasoned around here, but it was perfect from start to finish. The draw was spot on with no touch ups needed. Hats off to all involved.

You get real, honest opinions here. Not some hyped up tripe because someone was paid or got freebies. This place is one a very few places like that. Kind of like buying a Ferrari for 50 bucks. If you don't like them someone will gladly take them off your hands. 😂

loose_axle Posted June 4, 2023 Posted June 4, 2023 I look forward to this. Are the 109s going to be for the Bond Roberts site? It’s all u could think of with (BR) next to them.
JoshD Posted June 4, 2023 Posted June 4, 2023 Any chance these and others will be available in the future in 10's? Even at a couple more bucks per stick, I think that quantity would be popular. 2 1
