Tunkat92 Posted June 4, 2023 Posted June 4, 2023 My fishing trip was cancelled for the weekend due to inclement weather, so I decided to light up a nice long smoke. Cold Draw: Caramel and honey with a perfect amount of resistance 1/3: The puff was light smoke but nice flavor, creamy, orange zest and roasted peanuts. After a few puffs the smoke got a little more thick but the flavor stayed the same. The retro was all creamy and nutty. 2/3: The orange zest disappeared and the cream faded a touch. A very nice leather flavor came into play and the roasted peanut flavor took a back note. Occasionally some spices and a slight pepper would be present on the retro but mostly creamy. 3/3: At the beginning of this third, the flavor was bland and smoke was dismal. It feels like I hit an almost fireproof part of this cigar. That didn’t last long though, the flavors were soon leather again. This time the leather was accompanied by pleasant baking spices and some woody notes. Another inch in, the strength and richness increased greatly. The profile turned to rich tobacco, slightly caramelly and leather too. This profile stayed until my fingers and lips burned and unfortunately had to put it down. Final Thoughts: Like my usual experience with this cigar it was a roller coaster of flavors. This was the first time I got a good orange flavor from this cigar and that really made the experience great. I was upset to have to put this smoke down and wish it another 3 hrs since the first 3hrs was not enough for me. 4
