El Presidente Posted March 29, 2023 Posted March 29, 2023 EAR = Email Assistance Required. I was asked overnight what were the best of the 54-56 ring gauge cigars that members enjoy. I was reluctant to put Behike up as I was concerned that many of its likely votes would come from members who may vote on its reputation. Then I thought again. You guys know what you are doing. Vote on the ones you smoke and enjoy. the ones you would put your coin towards be it now or pre-cigarmageddon. The best of the 54-56 Ring gauge Brigade? Pick the three that are in your wheelhouse. The ones you smoke and enjoy.
Tunkat92 Posted March 29, 2023 Posted March 29, 2023 I haven’t had every one on this list, but I must say the ‘22 Mag 54 have been spectacular. 1
HarveyBoulevard Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 Have been burning down the regular production Topes. Can’t get enough of them. E2 is another stellar cigar in this size range. The Mag 54 and a well packed Vigia are also solid contenders. 1
Chibearsv Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 E2 and Rio Seco for sure. I’ve had the BHK 56 and the CPE and I’ll put the CPE higher on my list for value and taste. 1
jakebarnes Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 Went E2, Vigia, and Rio Seco. They're the few non piramides I will reach for in that ring gauge. 1
Gamehawker Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 I absolutely love the Partagas Serie E Number 2 - especially the 5 packs from the El Laguito Factory 😍 But You forgot one of my favorites: San Cristobal de La Habana Torreon - 5.9” x 54 1
GoodStix Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 All that beautiful tobacco wasted on fatties 😉 2

Islandboy Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 Went with BHK 54, CPE and PSE2....but my most frequent go-to in this category is Bolivar Libertador - while getting down to my last box is still years away, it’s already starting to weigh on my mind 1
gormag38 Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 E2 is definitely my first choice. It's an absolutely sublime cigar that I don't have nearly enough of. After that the CPE was my second choice, as it's a phenomenal smoke but unfortunately is well outside my price point now. Outside of the ones listed above the connie B is another that I enjoy. 2
Rhinoww Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 So with all of the E2 love, where have they been hiding?

Perhaps an unopened MAR DIC 20 is sitting in storage box 1. Let me see. That storage container is currently 65.5/65rh. So perhaps resting comfortably. 1
joeypots Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 HU Connoissseur B? Not included because it’s a LCDH Exclusive? I haven’t smoked too many of the others except the San Juans. Those are OK along with the Conni B but I can’t get past the girth. I’m getting a bit used to these fat cigars a bit but I thought the Siglo VI would be a miss for Cohiba so my preference is clearly not in line with the manegement at Habanos.
Puros Y Vino Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 The top 3 get my vote as I actually have smoked several of each. I would have swapped in the QdO 54 but I've only managed to get my hands on 3 sticks and smoked 2. Didn't think I'd like them but they've been great.
targa88 Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 Just too big - not in my wheel house. If I were to venture: Rio Seco E2 RyJ Wide Churchill
rascalmonkey Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 E2 from el laguito - the poor man's siglo VI 😉
Greenhorn2 Posted March 31, 2023 Posted March 31, 2023 The CPE's are a favorite cigar of mine that I have never had one that wasn't heavenly. E2 Laguitos are 🔥 and the Topes are barely ahead of the Vigia for me, although I pitched half a Topes last night. Damn under filled wind tunnel. 1

KavalanWhisky Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 54-56RG must be my jam as I found it hard to limit it to 3. Top 6 would be E2, QD54, Leyenda, Mag 54, Vigia & Wide Churchill
NSXCIGAR Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Wide Edmundo. It's the only 54+ I actually put my coin on (since I don't buy Trini anymore). There are a few I will smoke or even buy singles of like Hoyo RS, QdO 54 or E2 but I don't buy boxes of any of those. Special production and BHK excluded obviously.
