What's up for the weekend?

My kids/partners, Di and I are off to Maniax today for some axe throwing before a long lunch together at Golden Pig.  This is to celebrate a few birthdays (Mine/Ben's/Becky) that have occured over the past month or are upcoming. 

Steak lunch tomorrow ar The Norman for Di's son Todd's birthday before he heads back to New Zealand Monday.

That all sounds great, El Pres. I'm off today to see our accountant to hand off my taxation paperwork and calculations for the 2020/21 Australian financial year. Like you, when you see Artie (your accountant), our accountant Jane is always a delight to catch up with. (Okay, maybe giving us refunds annually makes it all more a positive experience!)

Tomorrow, I'm probably going to see my brother-in-law before he undergoes his bone marrow operation at the end of March.

Watching the Dubai World Cup races early tomorrow. Oaklawn, Gulfstream, and Fairgrounds races in the afternoon. College hoops to finish the day. Lots of cigars going down.

Fishing on Sunday in the surf. Tonight I'm taking my 21 year old nephew to play his first gig in a blues rock band. He will do well. Smoke some stogies this weekend and try and chase down some money. I am buying a new Led TV so I may shop around tomorrow for that.

Really like looks of the Macan. Had a Cayenne years ago but these are on my next up list! My 03 Sequioa is about shot

Mother's day this Sunday in the UK. Will cook a decent dinner for her as she can't get out and about these days. 

Other than that, I had a nice bottle of single malt turn up in the post today and some cigars show up yesterday (a box of L'atelier) so I'm tempted to slob about at home indulging myself with my new acquisitions.

Just got a 40 mile bike trainer in followed by some light lifting. Both hurt due too too much wine and buttery French food last night. 

House cleaning followed by brunch today. Maybe hitting a brewery after that. 

F1 tomorrow. Making cochinita pibil for dinner.

Found a dusty old bottle of 20yo dessert wine from Yarra Valley in Melbourne on the shelf. I pretended it stood the test of time with copious heat fluctuations. Ha ha! Was ok and pretty smooth though and really good with a JL flavour profile. Still sunny down here so made the most of it with a Pinot Noir and platter on the deck and a late arvo beer to toast the downfall of my mighty Tigers in the AFL after 3 premierships in 5 years. Although, I'm off to the AFL today to see them play and sit in my reserved seat at the great MCG for the first time since 2019. Cheers all. And good luck to you Brisbane AFL supporters up North. They look very very good this year. Cheers.
