Popular Post El Presidente Posted February 2, 2022 Popular Post Posted February 2, 2022 Are there any low production cigar accessory artisans left in the world today? 20 years ago there were plenty of passionista cigar accessory artisans who were making everything from exotic leather cases, humidors, ashtrays, cutters, stands, clothing (smoking caps etal). Today there appears to be very few remaining. Iet's track down and celebrate those true cigar artisans. Sigle operators or mum and dad businesses doing beautiful cigar accessory work be they town local or international... be they $50 or $50000. Usine your research skills and post up a few photo's and a link or story/detail and go into the draw for a 5 pack of Cohiba. 6

Edit: It took me longer than an hour, but I got a few photos uploaded. @Ryan Do you know much about the James Fox 135th Humidor in the 3rd photo down? These photo's would have been taken in April 2018 I believe. Do you guys routinely partner with Humidores Habana? 4

Popular Post BuzzArd Posted February 3, 2022 Popular Post Posted February 3, 2022 I’m still making Smokin’ Cat Approved cigar rests in various metals and upcycled auto parts ashtrays which are fully machined and not welded into heavy piles of scrap. Second half of 2021 tried to do me in, but I made it. And I definitely consider myself “low volume”. No CNC here. Just manual machines and hand finished products. I am currently awaiting the final approval and registration of my trademark which has now taken over a year. Fingers crossed it doesn’t take much longer… My pal Ed Sallee at Waxing Moon Makes amazing real wood humidors as well for those that may be in the market. https://www.waxingmoonhumidors.com 21

In which case, that’s insane Gorgeous stuff, incredibly talented, but anything over $30-40 for something I can lose at the drop of a hat is out of the question. I’d have a helluva cutter with nothing to cut with it. 1

I will say though that her engraving work is absolutely gorgeous. 1 1

From what I recall there’s a video on her Instagram where she’s using what appears to be some kind of microscope to do her engravings. She must have freakishly steady hands.
