This was a 17 release, but was rolled well into 19 if i remember correctly.

50,000 boxes is a bunch...I'm not sure the quality is there. I'm a huge LGC fan but never been impressed with these.

Have a couple of boxes.  I remember them as being a little and tannic and punchy.  Something the Spanish market is more into.  Like any cigar that is just ok now; wait a decade and try it again 🙂

I purchased four singles of these. 2017.

they were the worst cigars I've smoked in the last couple years.

When I saw this review title I thought, "I wonder if anyone enjoyed these crappers".... reading your review sounds like my feelings as well. Not only are they poor tasting, the burn is some of the worst I've ever had with Cuban Cigars.

Yes, this accounts for the inconsistencies in my view too.

Boxes from LAT and BOP both from Dic 17 were excellent. But I have heard of inconsistencies. Thankfully I did not experience that.

To your point, I think some of the OG 17-coded boxes were good.  LAT/BOP were both good codes in many regards.

ALOT cheaper not too long ago

I am having way too much fun comparing what I bought a couple of years ago with prices today....what a difference a couple of years makes.

Mine were the classic BRO DIC 17

They were very bad.

Oh boy…have two of these on the way.

Any idea about SMA DIC 17?

hopefully two singles, and not two boxes.

if they are two boxes, well, I certainly hope they are better than the four singles I had.

Very happy with my LAT DIC 17 box. I’d love to buy another at the right price.

I’ve smoked a few from a LAT DIC 17 box that were promising a few years ago,  and they are even more interesting now.

I've got 3 or 4 sticks stashed away. Last one I had was probably 2 years ago. Few cigars just scream potential like this one did. I think it's somewhat inherent to LGC anyway.

Last one I had I thought was around 90-91 pts. Could easily get up to 95+ pts with time. I think these have serious legs as many LGC do. 10-15 years to peak wouldn't shock me.

The first part of this box I was thinking this is a 5-8 year cigar, but you may be right!

The fact that they didn't move much after 5 years kind of pushed it out to 10+ for me. I definitely noticed an improvement after the 5 though which should continue.

Interestingly the handful of Turquinos I've had don't seem to have any of that potential. I think 3-5 years would be plenty for them. They're much more ready ROTT but I doubt they'll be as good as the D5 in 10+.

The LGC I thought was both the best ROTT and had potential was the Britanicas. Those could end up simply phenomenal with 10 years.
