Humidity for coolerdors was 64, 65 and 66. I thought it was 64,64,66. I think that's still within 1% 😎 (64 vs 65%)

I'm out of town but they're uploading to the cloud.

First step towards stopping obsessing about RH is reading @PigFish's many posts to gain an understanding of RH and how slowly it changes and then figuring out what RH you prefer smoking your cigars at for the best flavors according to your palate.  For me that took well over a year of playing around with the set-up and RH in the office humi.  NC's ready to smoke are kept in the bottom above the Cigar Oasis and act as a RH buffer (1% to 2% higher RH) for the CC's above them.  For me it's 65% for NC's and 62 to 63% for my CC's.  It also took a lot of patience to let the CC's acclimatize and rest for 6 months before trying the first one - many get notes to wait another 6 months because they're still too wet to burn well.

Getting to the point where your comfortable with not checking your RH is dependent on what's going on with the collection -- new CC purchases, box shuffling to the office humi and playing Tetris in the coolidors.   My Office humi keeps cigars "ready to smoke now" and just had the Cigar Oasis need replacement about 3 weeks ago so, still getting the settings correct and back stable at 63% and 74 degrees F (I live in FL and freeze everything even NC's because of the higher temperature and humidity here). Check it every day but prior to that would walk right by and not even notice the RH unless I heard the fan running excessively and it needed more water.

One coolidor with boxes for long-term storage is very stable at 73% RH and 60 degrees F.  Haven't touched it for months.  The other coolidor just had 7 boxes of PLP's added and is still creeping down in RH at 75% and 60 degrees F (was as high as 76% RH after adding 4 boxes of RGP's).  I find it fascinating to see what new boxes do to a relatively stable environment and how long it takes to reach an equilibrium - usually at least a month.  I can always tell when a new box comes in and is relatively wet -- then it takes months to reach equilibrium.  Track it all on Govee's on the smartphone.

Just bought another coolidor but given today's prices - that one may just have a few boxes getting ready for next years smokes.  That would mean a complete shuffle of the three coolidors and taking the time to set them up by approximate date of ready to smoke; ready to smoke for 2022; 2023 to 2024 and 2025 and beyond.  Based on feedback from members here - I do open up the coolidors every 6 months and do a box-check - so far absolutely no issues with the CC's -- but then the watching the RH starts all over again until they reach equilibrium.  I find that once the boxes reach an equilibrium in the coolidor the 6 month checks really do nothing and the whole system resets to it's normal in less than a week.

That's some real bastardy stuff, man! You made me check. A few times.

I have my govees and the internal sensors, but I refuse to install the Wechat thing to monitor and control the humidor.

you live in FL? ..you could probably just leave all your cigars out on ur bedroom dresser and theyd be totally fine for the next 100 years ............but seems like you got this down to a science !! kudos

You would think, but everybody in FL is running A/C most of the year. I'm in FL and the RH inside the house since the beginning of the summer has been a steady 45%. Way too low. Then if I were crazy and left the A/C off and the windows open it would rapidly settle between 70% and 80%. Way too high. Then comes the cool dry season (mid-October to mid-May) when I personally keep the A/C off (but most Floridians still run it). Traditionally it rains very little (last year was an anomaly) and the weather is beautiful, but the humidity drops significantly. It oscillates between 30% and 50%. Again way too low.

Basically the humidity is never right inside the house! And same thing outside, it's always too high or too low.

I'm not an investor, just a believer: Consistency =  Boveda + SensorPush + Low Temp (68 degrees F or less) = no stress; perfect cigars.

Second the appreciation for PigFish's many helpful posts (along with Captain Quintero and many, many others on FoH -- too many to name.  Hugely helpful; so very much appreciated.)

So @El Presidente, did you hand over the dosh? :P

I won this one hands down and am accepting payment in the form of a bottle of excellent grenache!

They wouldn't believe that more than 50% of members knew their humidity reading to within 1 point. They were also a little stunned that  nearly 25% if members check their humidity daily.
