haha, why was that?

my best car so far is my 2009 Z06. it's just so good in every way

Very uninspiring to say the least. The rear springs sagged, never could get it leveled. At least my 71’ Stingray with the LS6 was fun.

Those were a cool looking car though....right up until they got a wrap for catching on fire and at the time the company slogan was, "Pontiac, We build excitement." :)

Had a Grand Am that started shaking while I was driving over a bridge in Georgia (SSI), car gave me so much grief I just put the floor down and limped it into the driveway where it promptly conked out never to start again.

By far the worst car for me was a white 1995 Holden VS Commodore. I don't have a picture of the one I had but here is the same model

I inherited this car from my grandfather when he died. I was immensely grateful at the time as I had not long returned from overseas and did not have a car.
My grandfather loved his cars, but by this stage he was getting a little too old to drive and this car was pristinely kept like new in his garage and barely driven. As is often the case with cars like this that mostly sit idle no matter how lovingly they are cosmetically kept and how religiously they are serviced, they might look great but lots of things start going wrong with them if they are put back into regular use.

I never got on all that well with my grandfather. An evil thought maybe, but I was almost convinced he had cursed the car and was trying to kill me with it. The main design flaw of this particular model car was that it had plenty of power up front, but an extremely light back end. I got the death wobbles on the freeway doing 110km/h once, pulling out a little too quickly from behind a really slow old driver in the slow lane. Still to this day, I feel it just was not my time to go. I managed to correct the car into the slow lane after at least a kilometre of wild, barely controllable fish tailing.

After so much spent on servicing to deal with the continual issues, this was the final straw and I sold it on.

I had a hand me down 1994/5 VR Berlina Series II. It was originally my brother's when he got it as a graduation gift from my parents. I enjoyed driving that car, it handled well and had loads of power. Plus, it was the first generation of Commodores to get driver's side airbag and ABS as standard.

I've always bought made in japan, or made in germany, never had a bad car yet.
Who said the axis powers had nothing to offer?
Well the Opel my dad had was clearly German, piece of junk. Before that he drove Mitsubishi which he never had troubles. He's now on his 5th Toyota in 30 years and never had an issue with it.

‘74 (?) Chevy Vega. Miserable to the point that I modified the chassis a bit and put an over-bored 350 in it, hoping to make it a “funny car”. Snapped it in two like a piece of kindling. 😬

Oh ho ho! I blame the fiero for my love of tiny sports cars. I remember having one as a rental for months back in the early 90s. Fun times.

I’m willing to bet that AC unit did nothing but look funny. There’s a lot of aroma coming out of that truck 😜

We need story time from @Drguano on this.  Did gas/grass/ass apply to this road trip?  😎  How many hitchhikers were picked up along the way that you found out later were serial killers?

Don't make fuss... just get on the bus...

That was 1979 and the start of my first year on the road with the Flying Karamazov Brothers. Three weeks later we transitioned into a 1970 Chevy school bus that had been DYI ”converted” into a camper. In 1984, we upgraded to this monster, a 1955 Scenicruiser with 4 speed non-synchronized gear box. I am second from the left.

Those were still kinda cool. I was seriously looking at one in high school. Friend of mine still has has a steering wheel we salvaged off one in the early 90's and put on his 67 Chevy C10 pickup that he still has. It was actually crucial when about 2 years ago he discovered it was stolen from the barn they stored it in and they found a mayor of a nearby town was trying sell it on Facebook Classifieds. Could name all the parts that he replaced on it and the Vega Steering wheel was key in the police taking him seriously. Also helped the mayor selling it was an excon.

Chevy Vega back in the mid '80s. Actually worked pretty well until the oil pan ripped off going over a raised manhole on a road under construction. That sucked....

Otherwise I've had pretty good luck with cars. Hope the luck holds....

A 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I'll never buy another product that Chrysler touches again out of principle. Went through tires every 20K miles or so, and the driver's seat actually fell out while I was driving it... just broke off the brackets and tipped over. And the window motor had to be replaced a few times when the window just fell in. Awful car.

My first car was a 1984 Chevy Blazer. I bought it in 93. It leaked several types of fluid, some of the gauges did not work, one of the tires leaked air, the key would fall out of the ignition while driving. I killed the transmission driving up a hill one day and it was off the road for about a year. My mom sold it for $500 when I was in college.

2008 Alfa spider. Had it for two years, every couple months the check engine light will appear and off to the mechanic it goes. Always something else breaks after one thing is fixed. The convertible top will work only intermittently and the mechanic who is an Alfa specialist had no idea what's wrong with it.

An early 80’s Datson B210 wagon. I bought this POS new, my first new car. The engine would die unpredictably while driving on the highway. They were never able to figure out the issue. I dumped it and moved on.

See my above batching about fca/my 124 spider. Same boat. Absolute garbage.

Worse. My Italian car is made everywhere but Italy, yet my girlfriends jeep is made in Italy. It's also new and a pos. I feel you.
