What's on for the weekend folks?

I managed to get my hands on some skirt (steak ) and will take it for a run Saturday evening over a cigar and while watching th Wallabies All Blacks rugby test. 

Flesh out the garden prior with some new plants, Lunch with Mum and dad Sunday, a little planning work (cigar). Check up with ken who is doing it tough with an ingrown toenail. 

Quiet one overall but very pleasant. The weather is gorgeous at the moment.

First of 3 weeks of golf tournaments in a row, my last 3 of the year then it’s offseason until next May.  Hoping for better results than the rest of this year which has been tough.   

The good news is that if I’m not showing well I’ll just end up getting hammered in the late stages of the tournament, so even if I lose I win.....kinda.

Tomorrow my daughter takes her first cooking class. She is 8 and always wants to cook different things so I found a professional kitchen that offers kids classes. Also probably some river hikes since our heat wave will pass.

Travel seems to have opened up and suddenly there are people around who want to meet up.

Drinks and dinner with a friend from Cuba who's visiting family in Ireland, tomorrow night.

Lunch, drinks and cigars with college friends from Boston on Sunday.

Plan to grill some protein (maybe do a couple of flank steaks, depends on price), replace & install a new towel rack in our half bathroom, do some work on a new equipment leasing program our company is rolling out, watch English Premier League opening weekend (Leeds United fan), and obviously light up some Havanas. Thinking maybe a Monte Especial #2, Leaf by Oscar Lancero Corojo, RA Superiores, SCdlH LaFuerza, and a BBF. All are waiting in my drybox, just need to see which speak to me...

poker game tonight (with drinks/cigars of course), EPL starts early game lets go Leeds - give ManU loss right off the bat.  probably move tv on porch to watch with a pint & cigar only 7:30am start time.  dinner with friends sat night.  watch City beat Spurs to begin another trophy winning campaign.

Golfing early, then home to move the patio furniture and Weber out of my garage and under the new pavilion which should have the metal roof finished today. Then test drive the new back yard with horse racing and a Bears game to watch (at least a little of it) while sitting outside with some good cigars and music.  Fire up the grill for some flank steak fajitas.  Evening cigar with the neighbors after dinner.  Sunday, basically, rinse and repeat 😁

I'm headed out for 5 days to Minam River Lodge in the remote Eagle Cap Wilderness, Oregon...only ways in are a 9 mile hike or fly in on a Cessna. No cell service, no internet...the only time I get to completely unplug every year.  The river is mind-bendingly beautiful...I spend days just exploring it.  Will also be the heart of the Perseid Meteor Shower, should be neat.

Look like, based on Florida getting crushed by covid, I am also going to tell my kid that the September Disney world trip is not going to happen. Not looking forward to that at all. I’m going to have to get some more smokes in the dry box.

Start tearing out a 160 foot long conveyor out of the ceiling at work on Saturday.  Move it over 4 feet and reinstall it on Sunday.

First flight since March 2020 and  the pilot decided to go inverted.

And we got some beach time in! After the storm went through the weather turned great.

Short walk out back and we're there. Loving it!

Appreciate you noticing. 

Had some severe trauma a few years back. Major surgery for a bifid navicular. Screws and bone grafts. I am thankful I can walk.....
