I have one of the Big Easy grid ashtrays I leave out at my pool. It’s good at keep ash under control, but when it rains it oddly it stains a hammered copper cover I have on a fire pit/table.

Should have a covered porch finished in a few weeks. I want to be sure to control ash blowing around on the new furniture and not stain the coffee table so I’m looking for another option.

the Stinky cigar ashtrays look decent in stainless. Wondering if there is another large wind proof/resistant ashtray I should look at.

Thanks for the input brothers and sisters.

I use a Xikar Wave.  The slanted/slotted design is nice, making it hard for the cigar to be bumped/blown in or out of the ash tray.  Usually though, it's the FOH cigar stand close by and the ash tray further away

I use a Stinky ashtray.  Keeps the ash from blowing out and I don't have to empty it after every cigar.  It keeps the ashes off my cigar.  I hate when I get spent ash on my cigar.

My wife also likes that she can't really see or smell the ashes the next morning after my evening cigar when she comes out on the deck.

Agree. I have a few of them for different smoking areas and they are great.

The ground for the ashes. My deck is just concrete squares on the ground and the rain washes the ashes away. The butts I put in a metal watering can I empty once every couple of months.

For those w the Stinky ashtrays, did you go regular or tall?
I've had mine for years so Idon't remember ordering it, but I'm pretty sure it's the tall.

All but one of mine are tall’s which I do prefer.

this thing is the best, i have three:

no chance of the cigar tipping and falling out of the ashtray, it's heavy so it stays put, the glass is nearly impervious to weathering and can be polished if needed, and i think it looks good.

bought on etsy, no idea where else to get one.

I use regular Stinky Ashtray and I'm glad that I bought that mighty cigar ashtray when it was super cheap on Amazon 😃.

I too am in the grass/ground category when it comes to being outside. Rain washes away. Butts cool on the deck railing, then eventually go to the trash.

Figured I should close the first round on this thread. Ended up getting a deep stinky. Additional ashtrays to come but since I have been smoking sticks on my u set construction porch I have noticed a frequent breeze so thought this was a good start.
And then there are all my mates threatening my wife that they will be over every night for a cigar so I needed some volume for the ashes.
went w the classic stainless (over iron apparently). Will see how this weathers.
