The fact that it has never left the store in which it was purchased is another level again 2

I've seen that box of Yquem. It's a strong price, there's no denying. Best of luck to the winner. The box is perfect, I first saw it about 15 years ago. I valued it for the previous manager about 10 years ago, April 2011 (I have to say a little less than the current bid). And I can confirm it has never left the basement keep of Fox Dublin since it arrived in Ireland in 1977, Fox never stores cigars not bought in the shop and will not accept boxes for storage that are brought back in. I was talking to the manager of the shop about them and it's always a struggle to see boxes like this leave! The owner of the box insisted on selling them on Bond Roberts. A box of Yquem sold at Christies in 1999 for £4,290, about $6,500 at the time. Which would, at the time, have bought about 17 boxes of Cohiba Esplendidos in Cuba. $8,000 buys 9 boxes of Esplendidos in Cuba today ($835 a box) So it's all relative I suppose. 2001 Cuba prices $160 for 25 Lusitanias or 25 Ramón Allones Gigantes.
