Same odds as drinking a decent beer there or having a decent coffee ... just guessing.

Pretty sure there's a freemason there now for what it's worth....

Not a coffee drinker but beer, there's been an explosion of microbreweries in Florida in recent years so your information might be outdated. I had a lot of very good to downright amazing beer in Florida over the past few years living here. Almost none gets out of the state so most people don't know, but yeah, you'd be surprised at how good beer has gotten in FL.

CCs on the other hand... 😓

To  be fair; without further context it's hard to say either way on her statement.

Only the ones i bring with me.

I do go to some shops when I go to Fla that you can smoke in and chat people up. Those who know their stuff I usually gift a tubo to so they can experience it and get their take. Other than flavor differences  the comments are about the lack of nicotine and construction issues (if any).

I would say about 80% of the emails I get at CCW go along the lines of...

"I bought some Cohiba Siglo VI from a guy in Miami - he's Cuban so has contacts on the island that bring them over for him. I've smoked a few and I'm very sure that they're genuine, but when I ran the barcode in the checker on the Habanos website it came up as Montecristo No.4. Just wondering if this is a common error you have seen before?"

So the 11 count box with the clear lid I got in meeami is fake? Crap!

I never really go to St. Augustine because it's a bit too touristy for my taste, so I can't speak for the microbrewery situation there. A little bit south of St. Augustine I can vouch for Persimmon Hollow Brewing in Downtown Deland (which is in a cute alley with a fantastic restaurant right next to it), Sanford has at least 8 breweries of which my favorites were Wop's Hops and Deviant Wolfe, plus there is a taproom called Celery City with a fantastic selection beers, local and not local. Further south you have Hourglass brewing in Longwood and Orlando which is awesome and makes really good stouts but also many sours, which I love, and more exotic beers. Then in Orlando proper there's Orlando Brewing which always had good classics and I heard Motorworks from Tampa just opened in downtown Orlando. If you go to Canaveral there is Playalinda in Titusville. In Winter Garden there's Crooked Can in the cute downtown/market district. These are what I can remember off the top of my head because they are the ones I visit regularly around me. And with that I mean pre-pandemic. Several have been open through the pandemic but I haven't been out for a beer yet.

You might find Orlando Brewing stuff bottled and sold throughout the state, but it's not nearly as good as what they have on tap. If you are gonna be in St. Augustine only I'd suggest you check out some of the local microbreweries rather than going for bottled stuff, because I guarantee even in St. Augustine there will be some. You'll still be flying blind but I've had a pretty good success rate checking out microbreweries around FL (any time I travel first thing I look up is breweries cause I like trying new stuff).

I would guess the only place you could get a real CC in Miami (and most of the US) would be from a member of this forum.

Besides, if you actually like cigars and cigar culture I would guess there's all sorts of boutique NC brands to seek out and lounges to visit in that part of the world?

Thanks for the tips. My kids planned the vacation so I have no choice but to go ( read that as pay for everything 😂😂). Good thing is I have my own cigars and do not have to go with them everywhere ( see above for the pay part but that gives me some freedom to travel to your mentioned spots 😂). I will definitely follow up. 👍🏻

Call an FoH brother in Miami, tell him/her you are hard up for a smoke. Bring over a nice bottle of booze, get gifted a nice cigar the host would be proud to smoke himself. Bingo, how to get a real Cuban cigar in Miami.

Hell, if you can mooch a cigar in LA, it must certainly work on the east coast!!!

Beer, blowjob or other... cannot help you there brother!

A slight diversion here. When the Council of Cardinals has decided who will be the next Pope, a white puff of smoke is issued. I have always thought (well for the last thirty seconds at least) that this smoke is from the cigars that they have lit to commemorate the event. Are they Cuban or maybe Toscanos? Maybe @MrJapan can confirm.

Yep I'm about 45-50min from Flagler Beach. Might be cool to do an East FL Coast herf at some point!
