I don't think I could even be mad at such a crappy attempt at counterfeiting, just disappointed. Even if you're going to be underhanded, at least have a bit of pride in your work!

Nino Posted January 28, 2021 Posted January 28, 2021 Checked my files and it was a different Cohiba Lancero "Diplomatic" box that was equally 100% crap posted in a German forum some 4 years ago - but the guy insisted over a 5 page thread that they were 100% real as they were presented to his father, a high ranking German sports functionary and head of an European sports body by a Cuban delegation, which included the "owner" of a "private" tobacco plantation and he was also "invited" to become a "partner" in that plantation ... boy what a load of crap, horse manure and eye cancer ... the guy wouldn't budge from his 100% real BS story and even contacted MO Money to ascertain their price - never posted any results back again ... ? Sad thing is 60% of the posters on that thread kind of believed the crap. 1 3

Sorry - there is nothing "strange" about the story, it was all a big fake BS Crap story as there are NO private tobacco plantations in Cuba, NO foreign partners can be invited to join as ALL are gvmt properties, Diplo Lanceros boxes are given out by the Cuban gvmt incl. a letter naming the recipient and not by sports delegations, the branding/boxes looked a freaking disaster, the story looked even more like a train wreck. While I understand foreigners want to absorb every drop of a possible "It's Cuba being Cuba" story this one is 100% about being gullible and accept 150% BS for real down the throat. FWIW : The guy sent me the pictures by e-mail and maintained they were 100% genuine even confronted with my facts - You can't beat stupid, just wish they find a more stupid guy to take the cigars off their hands ..... 1 1
