Just curious as to your guys/gals' experiences and if none of the lounges provide you the same satisfaction of simply having a stick at home, with or without friends. mprach024 Posted October 3, 2020 Share Posted October 3, 2020 Home for me, my man cave is climate controlled, so even when it’s snowing I can comfortably smoke and enjoy my beverage selection And my big screen. We do have a great cigar bar downtown here I’ll go to a couple times a month in winter, but not sure when I’ll be able to visit that any time soon since it’s shut due to Covid. However, sometimes it is nice to go to the lounge to be pampered by the service. It is obviously cheaper at home and yes with better drinks/snacks but I like chatting to other cigar smokers who I often find enjoy the same. But it is expensive here in the UK so it needs to be a really good setup for me to go in and spend my cash. My favourite in London at least is 1A St James Street. My pops smoked cigars driving in his car with the windows down. Parts of the dash looked like the surface of the moon. The gearbox mesh eventually became an overflow ashtray. When he graciously handed it down to me, it took days to clean it all out. Shortly thereafter I had to turn on the windscreen defog fan, and a cascade of ash erupted into my face. I am comforted that my Dear Comrades make choices on my behalf, keeping me safe and so forth. I’m in Southern California so I usually have to wait until it cools down in the evening year round. There’s a lounge about a 5 minute stroll down the street and I’ve never been. Having an indoor smoking space at home with a tv for the football would also be dreamy ? As it stands I just wait for the warm, dry and still summer evenings and smoke with mates in the back garden. My outdoor area is large enough to easily accommodate 10 people (more if they are willing to sit on camping chairs and use fold-away tables), is enclosed from the weather, and I have a decent amount of booze at hand. There's a kitchen outside for cooking and washing up, a wall mounted TV, and the drinks fridge is just on the other side of the sliding door.
