El Presidente Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 2018/19 Under the radar cigars smoking so well.....that you are hesitant to tell too many people Which is the cigar/cigars that you are holding pretty close to your chest. Let's get the members input and a see if we may even to do a little sampler. For me: 2019 Vegas Robaina Famosos. HMOG they have been superb. 2
NSXCIGAR Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 I'm never hesitant to tell anyone about cigars that are smoking great. Not like I can buy or smoke them all. Famosos, La Fuerza, Double Edmundo, Connie 1 are all there. Maybe not so under-the-radar but Sir Winston is up there. 3 1
Popular Post SmokyFontaine Posted April 28, 2020 Popular Post Posted April 28, 2020 I say it anywhere I can. The only CC that has knocked my socks off 90% of the time I try one is a young Hoyo de Monterrey Petit Robusto. Tea, cream, baking spices. A touch of a kick that frankly, aged PR's or even young Epicure's don't hit for me. A terrific length of time smoke especially for the fall/winter. Ring gauge fits perfectly. ATE factory code has done really well by me. Hard to tell if they are under the radar, but I rave about them to whoever will listen. Between young HdM PR's and 3+yr PLPC's, I'm all but guaranteed to have a great cigar. 7

Would agree this this, they've been wonderful, in addition same old usual suspects JL1, RGPC, PLMC Never had one of any of these cigars that have been below 89-90, and they are often the cheapest in their respective sizes. 2

Yeah, well...you've heard it before: UEB '18 Montecristo No.4 LGR '18 Por Larranaga Montecarlos San Cristobal de la Habana La Fuerza Romeo y Julieta Churchills 2
Chibearsv Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 2019 Partagas E2. Best fat cigar I've had in 2019 1
Bagman Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 Pres likes to bash on the Trinidad Colonials of 2018 "Valley of the Death". But my June 2018 box is out of this world. I usually smoke cigars with more age, but that box is just WOW. Smoking them now. Luckily I have other boxes to age as well. 1

I've only had the JL1 from your list and it certainly is a little monster of flavor
lovethehaze Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 jl1, party d4, connie 1, plmc, and punch 48 to name a few off the top of my head 1
Skypilot Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 100% agree on the Famosos. I only picked up a quarter box and wish it was a whole one. I burned through them quicker than anything else.

Had both a light and dark wrapper box and both were stunning.
Hoepssa Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 RASS and BBF would be my picks to tell friends to stock up. I tried to find E2 rolled from el Laguito without telling them, though none of them are fan of E2 ? 1

Ken, don't worry about it. The thread was meant for those who do not perceive themselves as being the centre of the universe. You can move on. 1 5

Cayman17 Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 Partagas D4 have generally been excellent (to my taste) regardless of age in the last 2 years 2

Dynamo320 Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 AGO 19 Cohiba Medio Siglo, crushing them. No hesitation of course. Not great value option but mighty tasty. 1
Thirds Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 Have to go BBF. In your face flavors and reliable. cant get enough Trinidad Vigia either. 2
NSXCIGAR Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 I see some PSD4 mentions but I'm not sure how the best-selling cigar in the world can be "under the radar"...or the second best-selling Monte 4 (sorry @JohnS)! 1

Haha...all good! Maybe in reputable quality? Well, at least in reference to those UEB '18 Montecristo No.4's that I simply adore every time I have one lately! ?
