El Presidente Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 The friendliest cigar city in the US? By friendly I mean cigar friendly where at a minimum you can smoke a cigar on restaurant patios/ verandahs. Ideally it is easy to fly into and there are plenty of things to do. To make it a little harder. Let's remove Vegas as an option. FOH US 2020.......where would be the best options?
MC4 Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 Las Vegas is one that comes to mind. (edit) didn't read the entire post ?

lovethehaze Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 Definitely NOT Chicago ... people act like u have the plague. ... but there are some spots to enjoy where one can enjoy some peace and a cracker cigar. Just have to research first. Vegas and South Beach come to mind, seem to be able to do anything at anytime of the day In these two places. 1
Cayman17 Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 Atlanta has a bunch of cigar lounges, I believe. Always wanted to smoke at the Buckhead. Vegas is great why take it off the list? Talking Stick Resort and Casino in Scottsdale, AZ had a cool smoking bar with inside and outside smoking areas. There is a Top Golf nearby if you dig that. 1
Corylax18 Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 Ybor City, just outside Tampa. You can still walk down the street and smoke. One time Cigar capitol of the Planet! Now down to 1 functioning factory, but there are at least half a dozen cigars stores on the 3 or 4 block main drag. Its got great food, some CRAZY bars and music venues. The fellow FOH'rs I've met would blend right in. Plus, some very nice beaches close by. New Orleans is a close second, you cant smoke indoors anymore (save for few cigar shops) and the density of cigar shops/history isn't as good as Ybor City. But, far more and far better options for just about everything else. FOH US 2020 sounds great! Regardless of where you do it. 4
unclepauly25 Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 Not Chicago, have to smoke in a cigar lounge, there is no smoking in bars. I have to smoke in my work car in the winter, on my front porch in the summer. I’ve had good luck in Florida and Vegas ? 1
FireMedic Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 The general Phoenix area has tons of options, with lounges, bars, resorts that are all cigar friendly or cigar specific. Very easy to fly into. 2
kevpro Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 Nashville still has a few bars that allow smoking but it's a dwindling list. Also Charleston, SC allows smoking on most patios but is a bit harder to fly into. 1
ElJavi76 Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 I know NYC is hardly a smoker's haven but there are plenty of great cigar bars. If you've never been to Carnegie Club on a Saturday night when they do the Sinatra tribute... Do yourself a favor and visit once. During the day what isn't there to do and eat in NYC. Like I said, it's not like you can smoke everywhere but plenty of places to smoke. Cheers 3
CigarScentedBeard Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 Casino and cigar night out?!?! Totally down! 1
steelcity Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 Tampa any time between late October and early April. The temps during that time arrange allow for comfortable outdoor smoking. Also several indoor lounges as well to seek A/C if need be. 1

I got permanently banned from the talking stick for drunkenly dancing in and breaking an elevator! 3 1 4
JoeyBones777 Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 The greater Phoenix area has a number of cigar lounges sprawled throughout the valley with both indoor and outdoor smoking. My back patio in north Phoenix is also very smoker friendly and hospitable.? Phoenix has great golf courses, hiking and restaurant scene. There are a number of bars and restaurants that allow smoking on the patio. 3

madandana Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 I can’t say which city but everywhere we went in Florida last fall seemed to be smoker friendly. Fort Meyers, Naples even Marco Island. Beside anyplace north of Florida and you Ozzie’s will be cold. Ybor city (as Cory says) seems to be a cigar destination. I’ve never been there. Where ever it is count me in. I never miss a party.
Riverstyx Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 I have never been to an area here as friendly as ybor. It’s ingrained in their culture. Ybor City, Tampa FOH 2020 1
Richard peters Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 My hometown of Orlando is cigar friendly (excluding the theme parks) but Tampa would get my vote. 2

Havana is 40 minutes from Tampa once you reach cruising altitude. Assuming that us Americans can still visit Cuba legally Rob, I'd be in for that trip.

Tampa to Havana is an easy trip, they hardly have enough time to serve you a drink. 2
