How about bringing back the 109 format for all remaining DCs?

I would announce and create a new Double band - "Habanos Clasicos".  It would be created to "honour the legendary cigars of yesteryear".

The line would be introduced with a Saint Luis Rey Lancero. Then i'd announce that if it doesn't sell, the entire SLR Marca will be discontinued.

Watch them fly off the shelves.

Next releases would be the PL Magnum, Diplomaticos No.6, and Ramon Allones Corona. Similar threats not necessary - they would be implied after the first one.

 

I think Rob already had an idea along this line so I can't take full credit, but it's been in my head for a long time. It needs to happen.

Given the recent quality and consistency of Punch Punch - one of, if not the the come-back of the decade (given how these went to the dogs throughout the noughties), I think Punch is long overdue for a bit of regular production HSA love, like QDO. Any new size release in this marca is a great idea! Would certainly prefer a half corona over a petit robusto.

As for my personal choice - a PL lancero and robusto, or the same for Diplomaticos.

I would launch a 'Sixty Six' Bolivar. 60 ring gauge and 6 inches long. But what I would like to see is an El Rey Del Mundo Especial 1, 2 and 3.

I would launch a 54 gauge Cohiba just for the income and a H.Upmann robusto and short/petit robusto just because I want one.

Same price as the upmann and I would buy a punch half corona, I expect I would buy many of them.

I would recreate the original blend of the Mexican regional Edumundo Dantes 109 and name it the Montecristo Single Edmundo.

I would make the Monsdales a regular production cigar. No Marca, just boxes of the Monsdales. Put them in same packaging as the RYJ Cazadores, but with a different box design. No bands. I think these would sell and it would make me very happy.

I like the idea of a Punch Half Corona.   

As for my creation.  A Cohiba in a perfecto or diademas vitola. Not as big as a Cuaba Diademas or Partagas Salamon. More along the size of a Partagas Presidentes.  It's a real shame the Cuban flagship marca doesn't have this classic vitola in it's lineup.  Oh and one big quadruple band in the middle.

I don't like half/media coronas, so I wouldn't buy it (especially with the excellent Punch Punch still afoot), but based upon what people seem to like, I think you just nominated yourself for HSA's next President (better get the ponytail started now).

What would sell? Por Larrañaga as a churchill (or double corona!? ). They grow tobacco long enough (see Monte Carlos). I'd buy a thousand of them. A thousand boxes.

Seems like HSA is in the Half Corona mindset for the global brands, so sure. Any new vitola less than 50 RG has my interest. Just price it closer to the HUHC than the RyJ PR and I'm game.

Some of these suggestions are great, but are more like things designed to arouse us cigar nerds, and not instant success stories for Habanos. 

 

I actually think @99call's idea for mixed boxes would be a real hit. You could start it off with the Robustos:

5 x Serie D. No. 4

5 x CoRo

5 x RASS

5 x Epicure No. 2

5 x JL#2 or BRC

It would be great for gifts, and for smokers who might want some variety, but not have enough money to buy 5 full boxes of cigars.

Or they could just scale up the Seleccion series by 5. Wouldn't be a horrible idea, but I don't know if it would be popular. The 5 cigar Seleccion format seems to work for them, and is convenient and good for gifts. No one who is a regular smoker would ever buy it, so it's obviously geared toward the generic Cuban cigar gift-giver.

If I were you, I would completely forget about cigarettes because this is the most harmful thing that I have met in my life. Besides, it's stupid to waste money and ruin your health. I smoked myself for two years and it caused serious harm to my health. I tried to quit smoking several times, but all my attempts were unsuccessful and against this background I was already very stressed. Everything was so terrible that I decided to quit smoking no matter what, and then, due to stress, my teeth began to hurt regularly and even fall out and it was a very difficult period for me. I even started having dreams about falling teeth and I found out the reasons. It is very scary to see in a dream ...

Resisting the urge to be ultra-conservative (to save my own neck) and just go with a 'Cohiba anything', I think I would try a La Escepcion corona gorda.
