I'm panicking because I'm down to 4 full boxes. Nothing cheap about this cigar's performance - while many cigars are as good as it is, I don't know that any are better. A testament to the blender's artform!

You notice a difference in wrapper shade vs flavor profile? I've had boxes of colorado Claro and colorado maduro and the maduro just seem to be more chocolatey. I trying hard to figure out whether it's just my mind playing tricks on me.

Yes for sure my friend. The darker wrapper is more cocoa and the lighter shade is more to the floral side to my tastes. I still think a darker wrapper RGPC with a few years on it reminds me of Vanilla Coke. I had a box of them from 2014 (think I only have a few singles left) and nearly every one had a syrupy, vanilla, slight chocolate, fizzy thing going on. Just a tasty and unique experience.

Couldn't agree more with the Epi1. I had a mate try them too and we had another CC devotee out of the gate.

Also the HUPCs I got in are belted for the price. It's just a pity they will soon be no more.

HU MAG 50 has always been a winner for me. If you keep your ear to the ground they can be found for about 10$ a stick. While that’s not exactly cheap, I think they punch well above their weight. They are very approachable young and seem to improve exponentially with age.

Good point@JohnS I second that. Always a regular cigar for me the ERDM DT. I have also come to love the Party MF late this year. I had a 2017 box and they were great. Partagas DNA was all there. Very nice. I have bought a 2nd box now.

Q d'O Coronas are great. Unfortunately they have about a 2 year sick period when first rolled. Worth the wait. I have two bixes resting. Sampled one recently and compared to the first time I smoked them eith less than a year age I got some nice orange peel/citrus notes!

Most bang for my buck this year for me it's been Bolivar Belicoso Fino @ $7-10 per stick. Im talking this year's production too. They don't get much age around me 6 months to a year old mostly. Unbeatable smoke for my tastes.

Whilst I agree with all the members who have cast their vote for the PL Montecarlos that it is a great cigar, the Partagas Presidente wins by a whisker for me. I’m on my third box now in the space of 4 years and I’ve never been let down. Great flavours and good draw from every stick I’ve smoked.
