Wertman Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 I have been waiting all year to see boxes of Des Dieux up on 24:24. Seem like they are impossible to get. However I saw a post of some one with 5 boxes. What other boxes have you guys been waiting for and having a hard time finding?
CrankYanker Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 After yesterdays 24:24 it looks like the Sir Winnies go pretty quick. It would be nice to get a box of those at some point. Before the Sir Winnies I was after the PLPCs but I have a cab of those coming.
David88 Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Des dieux seem to have been on a production hiatus for a couple of years. I haven't seen or heard of any being rolled in 2017. Hopefully this will change soon though. The sir winstons were similarly absent for some time but now are becoming increasingly more available (although snapped up very quickly on 24:24!)
99call Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Hhmm with the Des Dieux, having a dedicated following, and displaying a fairly unusual flavour profile, I wouldn't count on HSA just binning them off all together. Cigars like these apply pressure on the HDM to find specific tobaccos', why on earth would you want to continue this cycle of having to deliver, when you can make the Elegantes, and have them sell out, in a matter of months. The Elegantes, may be full, or light, sweet or savoury, the blend can be whatever if wants, theres no pressure whatsoever. I would say the effort to dig and find Des Dieux with age, will be worth it, as you'll likely find them in parts of the world where, they'll be just as cheap as if they were being retailed ROTT. 2
Fugu Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 The Des Dieux, like the MdO 2, has been taken off the current vitolario catalogue of HSA. It seems unlikely to see them back very soon. Different "game" for Sir Winnie, which is more or less on normal production schedule, with availability usually starting for a limited time / a limited production by end of summer. 2 1
Wertman Posted September 25, 2017 Author Posted September 25, 2017 That's disappointing I was really hoping to try one
JoeyBones777 Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 They've been up only a couple times and I've missed out but Partagas 898. I've been try to get a quality box for awhile. 1

Lotusguy Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 I've been wondering about these too. I have only seen them on 24:24 a couple of times. They're around. Unlike the Des Dieux.

HabanosNJGuy Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 I started smoking CC regularly almost a year ago. My goal is to try every regular production cigar at least once. Never realized that some vitolas go on "hiatus" for years at a time. And when something gets discontinued, I'm like I got to get some to put away...
Piligrim Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 Des Dieux as well as others you mentioned (sir Winston too) available at our market. I paid for RG Asia Pacific and if I'll like it want to get more. So, interesting mostly in local specific cigarsОтправлено с моего ONEPLUS A5000 через Tapatalk

Pretty sure I haven't seen any boxes with a 2015 box code. The last DDs that popped up were 4 boxes from a locker sale (2013 & 2014 box codes). 1 hour ago, Piligrim said: Des Dieux as well as others you mentioned (sir Winston too) available at our market. Will ask our importer for box codes I think they had 2015, but not sure. I previously held 2003 cardboards and boxesОтправлено с моего ONEPLUS A5000 через Tapatalk
