What in your opinion is your ideal flavor profile of a cigar? I'm not talking about an end all flavor, because our tastes change at various times. Just the one you find yourself always going back to that just really satisfies you. I am new to the CC world and so far what I have found myself going back to is the mellow honey, hay, grassy, almost tea flavor of the Cohiba line. Specifically the CoRos and the Siglos. List below your favorite flavor profile, and the cigar you feel accomplishes that in the best manner. I'd also appreciate any recommendations of sticks that fit my ideal flavor as well.

Cheers!

I love the highly elusive cherry profile. I've only experienced it in the NC opus x love affair. I have some RyJ aging now that apparently should have cherry in spades once they get a few years on them. I also love the sweet honey and hay flavors that cohiba siglo series have.

Sublime!

Surprise me! I don't really care what tastes a cigar exhibits as long as it is good and the cigar has constitution, personality and evolution.

I agree with a cigar needing some evolution of flavor.  I have really been enjoying some H. Upmann and Punch with some age that have taken on a baking spice flavor.

Mostly sweet caramel and woody flavours, for me, hence Upmann. I also quite enjoy the citrusy taste that can be found in some Trinidad, specially when it's paired with a bit of sweetness.

My ideal flavor would lie between a rounder El Principe and a stronger La Fuerza… or, the flavors of a ERDM demi tasse in a robusto (Choix Suprême=fail)… or , quite simply, a perfectly blended 42 rg Montecristo…

I'm crap when it comes to palate and describing flavors. I am with the Pig - a stick has to say something, something pleasant.

My typicals are Cohiba, Partagas, and Montecristo, but I have recently received some Bolivar Belicosos Finos and Vegas Robaina Famosos that I truly enjoy and will purchase more of them.

I am terrible explaining and tasting specific flavors as well.  I did have a Vegas Robaina Don Alejandro over the weekend and could taste the sweetness through the 1st third and then it did get smooth with some leather for the rest of the time.  I keep buying different cigars to see what I like best.

They're out of production now, but see if you can find some RyJ Coronas- you'll be in Heaven.

I like tangy cigars that have smoothed out. Monte and Cohiba are currently on the top of my list.  I'm so bad at deciphering the flavors that people attribute to cigars that I don't think I could even say I a cigar tastes of pepper or chocolate.

For me, it's the baking spice and floral citrus notes in Qd'O. That just clicks so well for me.

TOS DIp 2's and PLPC's are amazing!! I revisited the RACA's the other day for the first time in awhile and it was too. Whatever they have is my profile!

Yeah I havent tried that many brands yet, but something just clicked with Cohiba after my first CoRo. I just wanted more of that, so Ive been exploring the variety Cohiba offers.

I know we tend to focus on flavor a lot, but for me the flavor experience is probably more about the aroma than the taste per se, both cold and smoking. For my tastes, so much of the actual flavor really seems to come from the aroma of the cigar. And the more pungent the better. I crave that barnyard sort of twang that is virtually unique and exclusive to Cuban cigars. IMPO, many flavor aspects tend to be more oriented to texture and mouth sensation, which yield the typical expressions of pepper, spice, dry, oily, lush, creamy, and so on.

Years ago when I started smoking Cuban cigars my preferences gravitated to the Punch marquee, which has since been decimated. Now I'm gravitating more towards Montecristo, and some of the small ring options such as PL, LGC, Hoyo, and a small number of others sparsely mixed in. I don't really have a specific profile I would say I want or like exclusively because so much depends on mood, smoking time, what I've eaten, what I'm drinking, and social situation.

I think @PigFish has it right, it isn't just flavor,  it's the experience, the way a cigar evolves, and the way it makes you feel.
