Head over to Uncrate, Coolmaterial or Gearpatrol and you will absolutely amazed at how much stuff you don't have and all of a sudden require immediately.

For you though, I would head to bestmadeco and look up the Makiri Fisherman's knife.

It's legit, not overpriced and down right awesome.

You're welcome.

You have opened my eyes to a whole new world of time wasting on-line...

I'm upgrading my golf clubs to a lighter shaft and she will be replacing my 3 and 5 woods for Xmas.  I have been buying a lot of cigars lately, so I'm double covered.

This year we've been cracking down on debt, so even some "necessities" have been neglected. I've asked for socks, ties, a new knife for at work, a leather business card wallet, etc. Small things, but will be very useful for me. I don't honestly NEED anything, but they needed an answer.

The notion of Gear Acquisition Syndrome  - interesting concept that we accumulate a lot of "junk" over time.

As I get older, I realize that I need much less (beyond replacement of spent items) and would rather spend quality time with the people I care about and/or trying new experiences.

Then we would rather want to get rid of the extraneous gear, downsize, less maintenance/complications.

Thanks. I actually considered the Stanmore, nice system. What attracted me to the JBL is the output is quite rich and has some kick if you need it, but more importantly is that you can pair two of them together into stereo mode using JBL connect. Of course it doesn't hurt that it has 15 hours battery life, can charge 2 devices from it's two USB ports, and is relatively splash proof.

Nice.  Yeah, the Stanmore is not portable, but I do like it.  I bought it purely due to jealously.  I found some factory refurbs on ebay for cheap.  The guy I work with on weekends desperately needs a good blue tooth enabled speaker, so I bought him one as he's helped me tremendously over the years with automotive work and pure teaching.  Given me loads of time.  So, I saw his (to be gifted this year) and had to get my own.  Good luck on that JBL!

Bourbon is always on my wish list. With my increased travel recently, noise-cancelling headphones are my top request! I've got friends that swear by the Bose QuietComfort line.

Parents asked me over the weekend.  I simply asked my dad to help with the renovation of my basement ie. help me lay the underlay and laminate (giving dad a bottle of Hennessey Pure White (have a case from when I went to Jamaica) and a Cigar lighter engraved and mom a spa package to get pampered) And from my wife I just asked for her and my little daughter make me something for me to keep (scarf, winter hat, gloves doesn't matter)

Got wife clothes as she needs it for work, and a nice pair of shoes $$$ (since she doesn't mind me spending a little bit of money on cigars

Got daughter clothes and i'm making an abstract painting on canvas for her room 6ft  x 3ft with her favorite colours since she loves painting

I don't trust anyone in my family to buy me cigars. They don't know what I like, and they won't give me cash, so...

I did that for a girl that I was dating years ago. Now, every time I look at the stars, I am reminded of the crazy ex

Damn you. I ordered 4 of those knives yesterday. One each for my boys. One for myself. Apparently I can't gift the other to my Godson....albeit he is almost 5.

I would ask for the whole set if I were you. Please note this post is intended to be comedic in nature and should not in anyway be deemed a political statement.

I specifically said "nothing" because Heaven knows I've bought myself anything I wanted this year and the last thing I need is another "A Christmas Story" bobblehead...   But I also told the wife if the kids couldn't stand it I'd be happy to receive a California Duster brand car duster.  Plenty of times the "old car" is just fine under that thin layer of desert that finds its way into the garage on a constant basis.
