Are you a cold Climate or a Warm Climate person?

I went for a walk this morning to change some Aussie dollars into CAD before I head off to Cuba Friday.

It was snowing ....I haven't been so cold since Boston with Colt....and I think yesterday in Toronto was colder still with a wind blowing that cut like a knife. Walking through Yorkville with the wind and below freezing temps I was expecting to see polar bears wandering through the street.

....and to think that I was at the beach Sunday

I could never live in a cold climate. To me it has no redeeming features. The truth about snow is that it is cold and wet! I saw a squirrel this morning on my walk. Well, while it was cute enough....I really pictured Daniel Boone and a hat that would keep my head warm

I am a warm weather person!

I'm Canadian, and I loath and despise the cold.

This is why I keep saying to come out to the west coast of Canada, Rob! The cold and snow stays on the mountain tops in winter, and rarely makes an appearance along the coast - so you can go to winter if you want it, but it doesn't impose itself on you like it does back east!

I am also Canadian and I hate the cold, although my body is very cold tolerant. I do enjoy skiing and snowmobiling I could go without the day to day pain in the . I guess I could move away but would live too far from the familly. Also, I don't think I would enjoy 365 days of hot and humid, too hard to stay cool.

I work & play outdoors so the cold is bittersweet for me. At least out west here we have the scenery once the sun comes back out after the snow storms.

Have spent the majority of my life in cold climates, most recently in the Colorado foothills @ about 7500 ft. Colorado's not too bad from a sun standpoint- over 300 days a year of sunshine- but those brief stretches of -10F in January are pretty abusive. Additionally, the extremely low humidity in the winter is hard on you.

When our son got out of high school and was off at college we hightailed it to South Florida and will not spend another winter on CO.

We do go back in the summer when the So. Florida heat becomes too much of a good thing!!

So, warm weather person for sure.

Warm climates are where it's at. I live in Michigan, and with climate change it's cold 75% of the year. Was 70F two days ago. Woke up and it was 22F this morning. Ugh. I gotta move somewhere warmer haha

Canadians are taught to wear their cold weather tolerance as a badge of honour. I for one am sick of it. I can still tolerate it but with every passing year I yearn to live in warmer climes. The thing is, I love where I live and it'd be hard to leave. I'd settle for living outside of Canada during the winters, but then I'd need a job where location wasn't an issue.

Well, I've just got back from my walk of the Yorkville area (I couldn't bear to leave the hotel as early as El Prez)..... And I cut it short at 40 mins. Whilst I was born, and bred in a cold climate - I find the older I get, the colder I get!

What I'll never understand is those people walking around in t shirts and shorts.

hahaha if you found that temp cold and wind sharp, wait till winter actually arrives! Even worse is our nations capital Ottawa which i think due to its location being in a valley the air gets so cold and dry it hurts my lungs breathing in, causes tears to be squeezed out of its ducts, and can even make you choke on some nights! I haven't even started with the snow yet I'm sure its just as cold and bitter in Alberta and the Prairies too, but as a Canadian and as Bundwallah puts it, we do wear our cold tolerance on as a badge. I am personally a both kinds climate type of person, its the wind i don't like.

The only redeeming feature about our weather here and in Toronto in particular is that you can join the Canada Goose jacket cult lol (pic taken from the internet, no i am not one of the Asians you see in this pic even Morgan Freeman is on it lol)

I dont mind the cold itself, but when its windy and cold I get pissed off. Usually in winter I take walks around midnight through the neighbourhood. But that's toronto cold, was out in the prairies last winter and the cold there is much much worse.

To cold makes me depressed. (Less than 75F). Too hot makes me irritable (more than 90F).

I'll take cold over hot for sure.

Converted to a warm weather person. Now I can enjoy cold if I want to go and see snow. Rest of time it is quite constant:)

Here in North Carolina we can have 103 F days with tropical humidity...

The mountains can get to zero F or lower ...

Snow skiing in winter ,water skiing in summer...

Thunderstorms, Ice storms, tornados, droughts.

A man would be crazy to leave all this..................

I'm in Vegas it never get's cold it's either nice or to hot to almost handle! Lived in Wyoming for years beautiful just 60 miles from Yellowstone but when winter hit forget about it!

I live where it doesn't snow, but Lake Tahoe is a couple hours away. Whenever I miss the snow, I go there and wonder why I missed the snow. It is fun to watch my kids play in it though.

Whenever I am sitting on the beach with a cigar and cocktail, I never ask myself why I am there.

Definitely a dry cold. Much worse than here. Spent a week in sask last winter and couldn't wait to come home to warm up

I love the seasons even when Winter is involved. I lived in Texas a couple years and hated the heat. What a lot of people don't realize is that we get summers that hit 100+F as well. What makes it tolerable for me is where I'm at when winter hits the wind subsides a lot. Last Christmas weekend we saw -65 one night but there was with wind. Still cold as hell but it was real late when it got that low. I think we only went out when it was -40. But I also wear great winter clothing. Also love sitting in front of a fireplace while reading in silence or soft Christmas music playing. Here are some of the things I like about winter.
