Despite many opinions, I've never smoked a rare/high dollar cigar and thought to myself, "Damn, this cigar was really worth 50/65/98/105/175/225 bucks." A cigar with pleasing flavors and great compl

He politely declined the offer. He then promptly selected 4 sticks and shared them around. They were indeed excellent. I must say I was indeed humbled by the gesture. Two thumbs up mate

At that price?! Take the money and run! That's at least 2 boxes of the German release (when they're released) and a bottle of something nice to wash them down with.

Money no thinking twice. Then i'd go pick up a few boxes of smokes that sit outside of my price range lol

Ha ha I am sure thier is a few very good reasons why he wanted them ...would love to know the outcome.

For me it would depend on what I paid for the box in the first place and if I had anymore boxes left. If it was my last box and the offer was less then double what I paid for it, than probably not.

The few 2000's I have tried I was not overly impressed and I would take the cash in a heartbeat. If it was a 2001, which the few of those I have smoked I very much enjoyed it would be a tough decision and would come down to what I paid for the box.

Partagas gran reserva ...Siglio 6 ....Behike 52 and 54...with a diet coke..no brainer....or feed dozens of familys for thanksgiving..

Unless they had sentimental value I would have sold them on the spot, said " Sorry Rob, I'll reimburse you in spades" :) , grabbed a few boxes of Siglo VIs, and had a weekend in Vegas!

If I really liked them ...I would have kept them, cracked the box on the spot and handed them out to the boys and enjoyed "one of those epic afternoons"!

Cigars for me are all about experiences and sharing, after all smoking alone isn't the same.

if I asked a few friends to come and try them and some one offered money for the whole box I would have to refuse as you can not let friends down like that but any other time take the money

......... you can't put a price on enjoying a top notch aged cigar with a bunch of mates, good conversation etc.....

Money, It's not as if they were in the middle of nowhere miles away from any cigars.... I'm sure Rob would have found something just as good if not better to keep everyone happy and you'd have $2000+ dollars in your back pocket! party.gif

:o

You value 2 898s to be 300 dollars each!?! If you wanted them that badly, take mine for 250 after you sell the box for 2700

I'm amazed somebody valued a box of em at $2700! I wasn't exactly taking this thread seriously.
