Deano Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 If someone wants to pay me that amount I've got multiple boxes to sell. Heck I'll even throw in free shipping!
cigarbreak Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 Money no thinking twice. Then i'd go pick up a few boxes of smokes that sit outside of my price range lol
Popular Post LGC Posted May 16, 2014 Popular Post Posted May 16, 2014 Despite many opinions, I've never smoked a rare/high dollar cigar and thought to myself, "Damn, this cigar was really worth 50/65/98/105/175/225 bucks." A cigar with pleasing flavors and great complexity is a great cigar. Rarity, age, and dollar value does not necessarily produce a superior smoking experience. I chase the flavors (and preferred sizes), and nothing else. The biggest let downs for me have been the rare ones. The most gratifying ones have been the ones I've aged since the beginning. Now I'm not saying that I haven't had rare or "special" sticks that I wouldn't consider as great... but those 2 factors don't affect my taste buds. 5
Lotusguy Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Money for sure. If the guy wants to be so stupid as to spend this much, who am I to stop him...
westg Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Money for sure. If the guy wants to be so stupid as to spend this much, who am I to stop him... Ha ha I am sure thier is a few very good reasons why he wanted them ...would love to know the outcome.
Laxman Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 For me it would depend on what I paid for the box in the first place and if I had anymore boxes left. If it was my last box and the offer was less then double what I paid for it, than probably not. The few 2000's I have tried I was not overly impressed and I would take the cash in a heartbeat. If it was a 2001, which the few of those I have smoked I very much enjoyed it would be a tough decision and would come down to what I paid for the box. 1
Savoy Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Partagas gran reserva ...Siglio 6 ....Behike 52 and 54...with a diet coke..no brainer....or feed dozens of familys for thanksgiving..
nikonNUT Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Unless they had sentimental value I would have sold them on the spot, said " Sorry Rob, I'll reimburse you in spades" , grabbed a few boxes of Siglo VIs, and had a weekend in Vegas!
StingMeadery Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 If I really liked them ...I would have kept them, cracked the box on the spot and handed them out to the boys and enjoyed "one of those epic afternoons"! Cigars for me are all about experiences and sharing, after all smoking alone isn't the same. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
Carpenter69 Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Money, of course. Then I'd buy a couple boxes of phoenico 30 & 32.
peanutpete Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 if I asked a few friends to come and try them and some one offered money for the whole box I would have to refuse as you can not let friends down like that but any other time take the money
mrjon86 Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 money of course! and it'll go to purchasing more boxes!
NastyPirate Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 ......... you can't put a price on enjoying a top notch aged cigar with a bunch of mates, good conversation etc..... Sure you can: $2700 AUD !! 1
Blakes Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Money, It's not as if they were in the middle of nowhere miles away from any cigars.... I'm sure Rob would have found something just as good if not better to keep everyone happy and you'd have $2000+ dollars in your back pocket! 1
earthson Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Counter offer: $2100 and I get to remove two cigars.
Maplepie Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Counter offer: $2100 and I get to remove two cigars. You value 2 898s to be 300 dollars each!?! If you wanted them that badly, take mine for 250 after you sell the box for 2700 Sent from my BlackBerry Q10 using Tapatalk for Android.
