I think you could probably hold out for £2K per box (and the rest) if you can find the right buyer.

The question is, what else does he have in the attic?

Seriously, what a find! You should definitely have one with your dad Lisa! (if he smokes) And with me as well :lol3: Let us know how they are!

My dad does not smoke, drink (not even tea or coffee and now not even soft drinks... only water!). He does not swear or anything.

He is probably the only person who really will go to heaven.

Except that he is a politician!

I told him, if he finds Jimmy Hoffa, he should keep that one to himself.

I happen to know the the good stuff went out with my sister and I when my mom passed away and we cleaned out her cupboards.

He may have some other treasures but he is going to the first guy to really "take it with him".

Not sure if MO's auction would take them if they have been out of a humidor for 20 years without inspecting them personally first. This year was the first time I've only properly looked at it, anyone have any experience with it?

Omg... What do i need to do to get my hands on one of these?????? Lucky you. Your dad is the best.

Enjoy Lisa, be as careful with the open box as someone with fish&chips at the beach. You always get seagulls.

We are trying to get a date going on these. We are pretty sure my dad got them around 1990. But that does not necessarily mean that is the date of the cigars. Any ideas?

Lisa,

They are typically boxed as needed. There are empty boxes at el Laguito.

The actual cigars are regular production blend. The value is in the packaging. From the pictures, they look in pristine condition.

The only way I can think if they are good is for you and matthew to smoke one. 20 year old cohibas are mind blowing.

Enjoy them in good health.

That is fantastic!!

I have to be honest, when I opened this thread I assumed the worst... instead I am now filled with jealousy

I'm going to take a packed lunch and go visit my granddad... perhaps strike up a conversation, ask if he ever travelled to Cuba ;)
