A totally plugged Punch Churchill from 2000 that came in a trade. I rarely experience plugs even from the turn of the millennium sticks that everyone has problems with, but this one was bound up tighter than a ducks' arse. Wrestled with it for 5 minutes before remembering that life is too short to smoke bad cigars, so replaced with a 2008 Boli CG that was delicious.

Looking back (and forward) I cannot think of anything (yes, anything)that could top the Guantanemera Cristales I just experienced. I can't bring myself to say "reviewed"...

I now strongly suspect that this is how Cuba disposes of its toxic chemical waste!

I had a truly awful QDS Imperiales a few weeks ago. It was like smoking lawn clippings. I stuck with it all the way through and it just never got any better.

Wow a lack of love for the supremely overhyped RAE! The Short Hoyo was EASILY the best EL this past year....

I remember when the short hoyo was first available just not too long ago and everyone said it was no good, funny how a few months changes things cigar.gif

I can point one person who had no shame pumping these up.

HdM PP had that special gene to me. Looks like some people agree now.

Hard to believe but for me it was a Cohiba 1966. For some reason the stick was somehow too humid or too fresh. I smoked it fresh out of the box, it burned strictly from the inside. I tried to correct it with my trusty colibri lighter but nothing to do. I finally try the unthinkable and cut the cigar in two to relight it. It started again. I really was pissed. I cut it a second time, with less than half a cigar left and it finally started burning evenly. I've had 5 1966 and there amongst the best of the bet cigars i ever smoked, a must try for every fan, but that particular one... What a mess!

RA Grandes...Plugged to no end. just a lost cause and a waste of a DC

is there a worse Vitola to have plugged then a DC? Double shame it was a Grandes, they have been getting good reviews.

I still have 5 left from my box of last year, each one smokes worse than the last, horrible cigar? Or horrible box? Nice to hear some of you are getting great smokes.. if anyone wants to trade for my remaining 5 feel free to drop a dime....

Cuaba Salamones. What a waste of time in my life that was.

I'll bring you one fron my box. It won't be a waste of time.

Most disappointing was certainly the Punch SS #1 I had a couple of days ago with the badly split wrapper :(

I believe you have forgotten the 1966

I didn't have the box date. It was a single. It had to be a very young cigar though. A couple of weeks after I smoked that one I had a 2007 QDS CC that was nearly flawless. I have also enjoyed the Superiores AP RE a lot.

Just can't come to terms with my box of Upman Half Coronas. Good looking box, fine draw, tastes like charcoal with a bite. Want to love them...

Too bad, I like that for a small quick cigar, had one yesterday that was really nice.

Over humidified RASS... Burn evenly like a champ as I was told "wet" CCs do. But it was like drinking a double shot of black coffee with a added kick to the mouth.

Unfortunately it was RA Extra, plugged, but it will be harsh to judge the whole line of the Extra.
