CanadianKodiak
Rob started a thread inquiring about your best smoke in June...I want to know your worst smoke. That's just the kind of guy I am. Mine was, BY FAR, the R&J Coronitas en Cedros from August 2011. Absolute garbage. I wanted a daily, affordable smoke and made a horrible mistake by buying a box of these pedestrian pieces of crap. Never in my life have I seen a cigar canoe and burn so badly. Tastes like I'm smoking fresh manure...smells like it, too. Never again. Screw you R&J. How about you? What's your worst? El Presidente
Bolivar Distinguidos from the Jar. God I hope it was a rogue or needs some serious sleep. Will try another in the next few days.

ramon_cojones
Besides the plugged ones, cigars that I've been able to get any smoke from have not been terrible maybe just alright at best.

Wow I've got one of these stashed away to smoke in HK this fall. I'm really looking forward to it I hope this is an exception and not the rule

LGC
2007 RA small club corona... didn't get what I was expecting out of the cigar. Reminded me of a Nuevo blend Boli PC without much complexity. It didn't have the fruit/floral flavors of a typical RA. Hopefully the second one performs differently.
Ghabanos
I had a couple RA extra which plugged like crap. I wanted so bad to toss it and wish so hard that it would fix itself. It was painful.

cigcars
Sorry, folks...but it was the new Ramon Allones Extras. BOY, what a non-Habana aroma, nuthin' flavor smoke. And I tried two of them just to be sure. Did not do a thing for me.

mk05
2011 production cigars with a couple exceptions from early 2011 Very interesting. And I think I may agree with you so far... most '10 boxes i had sampled earlier this year were rather excellent. For my 2011: Earlier month of HdM PP were quite big in flavors. The later months I just went through have been average. I just smoked an ABR 11 Reyes and couldn't decide if it was very young, or if it didn't have the stuff. The first couple puffs showed the nice orange juice, then went straight to leather. SEP11 Super Partagas were overly acrid. No clue how they will turn out. JUL 11 HdM PR were bland and no flavor. Monte ESP #1 JUL 11 are average at best. However this is only after about 5-10 of each, so not enough to make the claim valid by any means. Would be a claim for sure to label 2011 a dud year. Conversely BV, what do you think of '10?
khomeinist
I have had much more success with '11 than '10. Funny world. Worst? JL sel 1 from '10. Disaster
ramon_cojones
I've been hearing nothing but rave reviews for 2011, then again think about it any other year is going to have more age so it's not really apples to apples. Yes they may slide in some aged leaf here and there but way too early to declare anything as of yet. For the record, I'm just not a fan of ELs since I don't like maduro wrappers. Rehman
H.Upmann Magnum 50. Yup, another from that Cabinet From Hell, MOS NOV09, boo hiss. Fully nine months after I posted here my outrage at the first half-a-dozen from that box burning badly, I tried another. It burned badly.
hebbe72
A Cabanas Perfecto. I bought 10 of these just to try. I figured that they are almost 10 years old since discontinuation and it would be interesting to try them out. They were not. Bland and plain and not worth the effort. not even as an every day cigar. joshua84
My worst happened last night with a Monte Petit Edmundo from 2010. It tasted like rotten vanilla. I guess it is just a rogue since the other 6 sticks I smoked from the box were the usual Monte profile.
Daidemo
I was really disappointed with Punch Robusto (RE Swiss 2007). They are loosely rolled, one-dimensional and boring.
mk05
I have had much more success with '11 than '10. Funny world. Worst? JL sel 1 from '10. Disaster Can you give me a list of good '11 vints? Will pick them up. You have my email. This was pure speculation, just wanted to see others' experiences to date. You may be right on '10s vints, my experiences were based on just several sticks, not a wide variety. I think I religiously smoked Monte GE, RASS, Erdm cs, Trinidad Robusto T and Coloniales, with a couple great cazzies from '10s. Not too varied to make a total assessment. Only standout bad '10s for me were qdo corona, JL2, and Epi2. Like Ramon says, tough to make any calls now since everything's so relatively young. Fun to take a stab at it though - just seeing how others experiences have been. This could all be BS, I have heard hsa is using aged tobacco on current production anyway. Ophidion
Can you give me a list of good '11 vints? BPC, Hupmann 2, HDM Petite robustos, RASS have all been great, specifically from later in '11. This is going on multiple boxes purchased from different vendors (my friends keep their sticks around the same conditions as mine so its a good way to test).
