C&C Time! RYJ Petit Churchill [LOE AGO13] - 24:24 Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk19 points

Romeo y Julieta Short Churchills LAT Feb 2018 Certainly this started off well with strong elements of the RyJ DNA in the first third, namely cherry, some rosewater and turkish delight. However, this was a touch over medium-bodied, and different to RyJ Churchills I've had recently as they were milder and not as intense in the back half, especially the last third, which had a distinctive bitter chocolate taste to it. In fact, the bitter chocolate flavour in the last third was exactly similar to my last RyJ Short Churchill, and it had quite a nicotine kick to it! So, a little over a year old and my head was in a mild spin by the end (which I rarely get from a cigar - perhaps 1 in a 100). I think I will give this some time to rest and see how the blend evolves.18 points

it might be late, but I'll put mine anyway. this is my very first review in English, which is not my native language, but I decided to try. so sorry if anything is not good in it. Being in Spain couple of years ago I've bought few jars. this cigar is real flavour bomb, despite it's pretty aged, but the jar helped to keep aroma and taste very well. I used punch so it was punched punch punch draw was excellent from the very first puffs. at the first third I feel creamy sweetness, almond, bitter chocolate. cigar is full bodied with medium strenght. second 3rd - cremy sweetness is going to the undertones, bitter chocolate has gone, replaced with cacao, but after first half of the 2nd 3rd creammy sweetness got back with cappuccino and cinnamone instead of espresso. in the last third I feel very well fried toast with butter and some spices I can't identify. this cigar is amazing I would rate it 97. really good one. sadly I have ony one single left.9 points

Absolutely floored by the quality of this box of La Trova. The aroma is intense! They are wet and will need some downtime before I dig in. Not sure how long I will last. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk7 points

Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No.2 BUP Mar 2018 This was light and mild, distinctive Hoyo de Monterrey flavours were evident - light milk cocoa, cedar, clove, cream and vanilla and I must say that these milder, sweeter flavours really resonated with me. In summary, it was most like a vanilla malt shake until it got a little spicy late in the last third (which will no doubt settle with more rest). I think I will re-visit this cigar, and soon. Most likely, after doing so, I will think about picking up another box. Can you tell I'm a real fan?7 points

I’m working at a trade show for the next few days so I brought a few favourites along with me to smoke in the beer garden at the hotel. Chose this lovely Diplomaticos no 2 for tonight. Loving it[emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk6 points

EPM JUL 17 Punch Punch. Didn’t have time to do a review but figured I’d give one a go. I think I have one more in the humi. 17 Picadores single that was gifted to me that didn’t want to cooperate. The first inch was really good but after that it decided it didn’t want to smoke and the only way to keep it going was to puff on it. Relights didn’t help either. Put it down about halfway. Too bad because I like these cigars. Luckily the box I have all smoke well.6 points

Yesterday was not a good smoke day. Started off with the review stick that had no flavor and eventually unraveled on me and went out. Then a Kristoff Connecticut, it was ok, but won't smoke it again. Followed by a mystery cigar from the Cigar Authority Care Package from last year, it was mediocre. Best cigar of the day was a JSK toothpick 2.0, not sure if Habano or Maduro (how do you tell? By Google images they look similar) im thinking Habano, but not sure. Followed up by a "baller" stick that was unimpressive. But I did get a new hat from a botl, so there's that Look I'm the Pope, don't shoot!!!5 points

Checking in on a cab of PLPC. LEP NOV 16 from the carts a while back. Certainly better than the last one from the box I had probably a year ago. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk5 points

Was able to get the furniture out on the deck and start up the pond. Lots of work to do still but nice to sit on the deck and enjoy a cigar. First cigar of the season on the deck was a BTO SEP 12 CORO. Delicious. After a delicious Beer Can Chicken dinner I enjoyed a UEB JUL 18 Dip Nortenos TE Canada. Good but I think more time is needed. Last month @Elpresidente posed the question, “Can you list your top 5 Marques in order of preference?” Because I earn a living in statistics, and because I’m a data analytics masochist, I spent a few hours today modeling the data in order to come to a scientific stack ranking that weighted each marque in proportion to the order in which the marque appeared in each Top 5 entry. Interesting storylines in the data are that Cohiba, which received the second-most #1 ratings, was in the 50-percentile of #4 and #5 ratings indicating a “Boom or Bust” affinity among FOH members. Romeo y Juliet wins the “Always a Bridesmaid” award for its top 50-percentile ranking despite not receiving any #1 ratings. Lastly, in @Hotboxx’s initial assessment of the frequency of marque appearance in the Top 5 entries, Ramon Allones appeared in the fourth-most percentage of entries but is the nineth-most popular marque when using a weighted approach; this is because Trinidad, Bolivar, and Montecristo are buoyed by higher ratings in the entries that listed those marques in their Top 5. Here are the results: 1. H. Upmann 2. Partagas 3. Cohiba 4. Trinidad (tie) 4. Bolivar (tie) 6. Montecristo 7. Ramon Allones 8. Hoyo de Monterrey 9. Por Larrañaga 10. Romeo y Julieta 11. Juan Lopez 12. Punch (tie) 12. Quai d’Orsay (tie) 14. San Cristobal de la Habana 15. Vegas Robaina 16. La Gloria Cubana 17. Sancho Panza 18. Saint Luis Rey (tie) 18. Rafael González (tie) 20. Diplomatico 21. El Rey del Mundo4 points

Superb mastercase of el Rey Del Mundo Choix Supreme. Bar 4 boxes they were all PSP but split evenly into darker wrapper PSP and lighter wrapper. Both had immense sheen. I will put them up on separate days in order that you can choose your preference. Stunning indeed. Which would you take. Use the poll Box 1 Darker Wrapper Box 2 Lighter Wrapper4 points

Bigger isn’t always better. First up a failed Monte Petit Edmundo, OBM ABR 17. Too tight and too damp, it was hard to keep it going, and there was no joy or flavour to be had. Regretfully set aside. Replaced by an Upmann Half Corona GOS JUN 17. What a super little smoke: full of rich sweet flavour. Equilibrium restored. Both of these bought earlier in the day from duty free. Much better draw tonight. Still quite damp though, so the rest go away for a while.4 points

It's not the lounge and dress code at all (nor the tosser). It is the continued portrayal of the secret world of cigars being "for" and used "by" the elite. It certainly is one part. I would say a minor part in the overall scheme of things but by God you wouldn't know it.3 points

Robusto XXL - that’s when the naming went downhill, IMO. From the Knokke anniversary jar. Terrible. I’ve had some really good ones of these but this was crap.3 points
