Thanks guys. I did go and by them cause I agree that they are an interesting item. There are 41 in total, and the box held 48. There is a little wrapper damage around the cap on the 5 in the top row, and a little cracking on the foot of about 4-5 lower down as well. Other than that they are in very good condition. I ended up paying $100 Here are some pics.

First one in about 6 weeks! Too cold for me to smoke now, but I'm house sitting for a buddy who doesn't mind me using his place as a cigar lounge while he's off to the Dominican for 2 weeks. Cat-sitting has its advantages!!! BMS NOV 14

My last cigar was Nov 12, back in Havana. I have since erased that lapse with three last night. First up was a Quay D'Orsay No 50. This was from a good friend who attended the 2017 Habanos Fest, where these were handed out. He kindly handed one over to me as he had a few. I was expecting not to like it, but it was excellent. It left me wondering if the blend was spiked for the Festival and this same friend says he has smoked about 3 from a regular box and there is no difference. Might have to add these to the rotation. Very unlike existing and past QdO blends but nonetheless, it performed beautifully. The new band is quite snazzy too. Very nice design. Next up was the LCDH Punch 48. Many have said it was a mild smoke and I concur. It was pleasant enough, but not too exciting. I'll let my remaining stash age a bit and see if they at least get more complex over time. My final stick was the Ramon Allones Celestiales Finos. The Asia Pacific RE from 2009. These were bold, strong smokes from the offset. This is the second one from this box and it was considerably smoother than the first one I had back in the summer. It was still a tasty treat, especially the second half. Lots of nutmeg, hints of cedar and earth. Defnitely not a strong cigar at this point in time. In all a great night. Got to get a few smokes in and catch up with friends some of whom I haven't seen in months.

Learn something new everyday...buddy in Cuba told me new Talisman have new codes only revealed by black light on the back of the band, it's a code that starts with CHB, also there are two blue squares that show up...first picture shows it really well, it's one of my Instagram Talisman, second picture is from my box from the November release, code is still there but not as prevalent...the first pic is one of the new bands, the second pic is one of the older bands they have been using.....carry on

Here’s a picture of my wife, Diana, and I with our daughters, Caroline and Charlotte. We have been trying to emphasize with the girls that Christmas is a time to be generous with our time and blessings, so we encouraged the girls to collect toy donations for a local shelter that specializes in helping homeless women and children. This was last week, and the outpouring of love and support from the community in response was amazing. A local television news station carried the toy drive on the evening broadcast, which of course my girls thought was really neat. It was a beautiful experience, and one I hope leaves a lasting impact on the girls. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

We have a beautiful Spanish architecture shopping district here in KC called the Plaza. Every Thanksgiving they throw the switch and turn on the Xmas lights. Beautiful in winter. Horse drawn carriage rides and just a wonderful tradition here. That’s me and Mrs CigarAsh out having some fun a few weekends ago

Another update, felt this cigar warranted a post. Had a first-author paper accepted in the Journal of Climate last week, had intended to smoke the Davidoff but holding off a little. Instead I went with a Cohiba Coronas Especiales from 2000 (gifted very generously by@mkz). Slightly muted to begin but just got better and better. Final third was ridiculous. Christmas in New York means cigars in cold weather and tiny Christmas trees. Good thing there are plenty of holiday themed attractions to see out and about in the city, like the Rockefeller Tree and the Christmas decor at Rolf’s!
