My grandson Anthony Michael turned 1 last Saturday. As luck would have it, just that Morning I received a package with the date code of his birth day/month. Sept 16. I had been wanting to find a box with this code to save for him but kind of forgot. This was perfect for his birthday. I will put this picture and a note for him and put it away. I won't force cigars on him but if someday he finds interest,I will be prepared for it. God willing and the creek don't rise I'll be around for his 18 th birthday.9 points

And the obligatory and delicious 2014 perlas while I smoke some red jalapenos in hopes they will magically transform into chipotle peppers...despite not having a proper smoker. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk9 points

Had my first PSE2 yesterday from a 1/4 box purchase. Very impressed. Need to get a box or 3 of these. This cigar took me on a journey, starting out rather savory with wood and leather. Cinnamon cream slowly entered the picture and built up to dominate the middle. Then a very distinct capsicum element joined the crowd in the final third. Wow!6 points

Sometimes, you can't have sublime smoking experiences, no matter how hard you try. This BMP Jun 2016 Vegas Robaina Don Alejandro was tightly constructed, the difficult draw exacerbated by the increased humidity that night. What do you do? The VA cocoa, leather and raisin sweetness was there, all I could do was smoke slower and clip the head of the cigar at the halfway point to clear the moistened tobacco. This ARG Jun 2015 Cohiba Siglo VI made up for the night though, later on, with its mocha, grass, honey and butter goodness!6 points

Got these in the mail today. Gotta have one ROTT. Let's kick the tires on these bad boys. Pairing with an iced Envívo Lungo (Nespresso). Cheers men! *Edit Some burn issues, but I slowed it down. Breeze corrected some and I blew out a little to help. Great flavors overall. Lil' spicy, lil' sweet, and a lotta character:5 points

While we were in the Dominican Republic for 9 days, my wife and I decided to visit the Don Lucas Cigar Factory. It was pretty amazing to see some cigars being hand rolled. The tour was free and they came to pick us up in a shuttle. When we got off of the shuttle we were greeted by Andres who asked what kind of cigars we smoked. My wife got a medium and I opted for the medium-full. We were taken to the tables to watch the cigars rolled, pressed then wrapped. Felt a cigar at 85% RH. On a regular production day they roll up to 1500 cigars that is with around 5 tables in use. He took us into one of the three humidors on site which they keep at 17 degrees Celsius and varies between 65-70% RH. After the humidor they took us up to the sales humidor where they had Dominican, Nicaraguan, and Cuban cigars. We bought some stuff we couldn't get back at home (DR stuff). They also had a rum, chocolate and coffee place in the area. Very fun time while on vacation. Enjoy the pictures! PS the Cubans were very expensive. We found a box of Fundis for $880 US.4 points

This is in my top 3 smokes of 2017, or is it 4. Call it 3a and 3b... LoL I had a box and after putting 2 down I ran out and got a second box. It's a big fav. If you like Siglo VIs or Connie As, go get a box of these. 0.00 regret! If you don't like em, I'll gladly rip them from you. Cheers Mr. Island4 points

These machine rolls are poison. No, not really. Not sure I've had JLPs with age but these are early 2015 and taste great (albeit not very complex). Fall is coming though! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk4 points

As someone with a terminal disease, I will never be able to smoke the rest of my modest stash. I have ALS and my ability to smoke is almost passed. I say smoke them! That's what they're for! PLPC with that age are a no brainer. That reminds me. Need to smoke those last 2 08 Siglo III's I've been saving!4 points

While discussing this stick with @NSXCIGAR, another trial with the Petit Cetros from a fiver. Better than the ones before, but still - even taking into account pricing - starting out a bit too rough and bitter on the palate for my liking. Though, the aroma is quite pleasing this time I have to admit, and into the second third actually developing a bit more depth and complexity. In fact I can see there may be some promise shining through, indeed. Will keep on checking out other production!4 points
