I'm 59. My dad, who was a doctor, died at age 64 of a heart attack. His father, a cattle farmer, died at age 65. I can't live my life thinking I've only got five or six more years. I may go tomorrow or I may live another 30 years. I'm stocking my inventory, which is now up to about 800 cigars, based more on what I like and with the thought in mind that prices will eventually skyrocket after the embargo is lifted. My daily smoke is typically a petite corona, so I buy enough of those to keep a two to three month supply. I'm buying larger vitola's more for aging, and they'll age because I smoke far fewer of them. My dad's death had a profound effect on me. He worked his ass off for years and just as he was about to enjoy the fruits, he was gone. You have to live for the now and whatever the future holds you can't change, so I guess that translates into my cigar buying.5 points

Had a "Cuban moment" ...it took four sticks in to find that perfectly satisfying experience. RA was windy and has a horrible aftertaste... Boli was plugged... PL was so windy I didn't even light it !!! Punch was lovely4 points

I hate to get on a sober note, but the heart disease appears to be in your family. I am no doctor, but a heart attack survivor. Forget the cigars a minute and get yourself a cardiologist if you have ever even thought you have had angina symptoms. I was damn lucky… If I could possibly head a brother off at Grim's driveway I would do it. Take my advice and go get checked out. It is better have your arteries scoped and find nothing, or get a stint or two than have the risks of heart damage and death. Take my advice my friend, and get checked out. This could be the best advice I have ever given on this forum… Please, look into it! -Ray4 points

The serious answer:- It's a team golf event played between the United States and Europe. Initially the US and GB. No. Yes. It depends. I usually take my own and share. So if you were on my team, the answer would be yes. Yes. I would. But I can only take you so far, as I have only been playing for 3 years. I think @bartolomeo is quite good. Should hit him up.2 points

Not really sure about the complete situation in Australia except for what I've heard from my Aussie friends, but here in Canada we are not far off. The elimination of venues to enjoy a cigar has hurt the small local economy and the driving up of the taxes to astronomical levels has definitely increased the amount of imported non tax payed tobacco and I know there would be an increase in sales at the B&M level if it was even half of what it is now. Good luck with the speech2 points

I could put this in the food section but a friend sent me this and I think it falls into more comedy than anything. The reactions of people from different countries is hilarious but what about when people try American food? First up, Americans try Asian food.1 point

Three cowboys were seated around the campfire out on the lonesome sagebrush prairie and with the pride for which these men were famous; it was a night of bravado, a night of tall tales.. Tom, the hand from Wyoming says, 'I must be the strongest, meanest, toughest cowboy there is. Why, just the other day, a bull got loose in the corral. It had gored six men before I wrestled it to the ground by the horns with my bare hands and castrated that sucker with my teeth.' Ben, from Colorado, couldn't stand to be bested.. That's nothing, 'I was walking down the trail yesterday and a 15 foot diamondback rattler slid out from under a rock and made a move for me. I grabbed that bastard with my bare hands, bit off its head, and sucked the poison down in one gulp and didn't even get a belly ache.' Old Dingus Bob, the cowboy from West Texas, remained silent, slowly stirring the campfire coals with his pecker.1 point

Maybe we should have some of that Exotic Asian food to help out your Miller 641 point

it had some problems in the first third, flavours were off in the first, non-existent in the third. The second third showed some signs of a great cigar but it didn't last long.1 point

or: how to kill the nuances of a Cohiba robusto. Laphroaig and Lagavullin are so peaty and smoky, I love them but I wouldn't touch them before the cigar reaches its 3rd third…1 point

I would agree if it's a quality product, and at room temperature or lightly chilled. Ice cold beverages kill everything, IMHO.1 point

I purchased one and got rid of it 3 months later... I just did not enjoy it at all.... I invested in a Jura espresso machine to replace it, and I could not be any happier!1 point

Tough to choose as there's lots of decent cigars on the list. The ones I like are the Epi 2, Trini Robusto T, PSD4, Monte PE, SLR Regios & VR Famosos. But I voted for the RyJ Ex 4 coz it was my first Robusto box purchase and when they are "on" they are awesome!1 point

I don't recall singling you out. They are not permissible but you are the one looking to escalate for a scrap. Take to offline. Take it to PMs. Take it anywhere but here if you, or anyone else has a beef with someone else. You are ALL on notice from the entire moderation team. Wilkey1 point

John 8:7 -“Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at. We all smoked fakes at the beginning but God gave us Rob and Diana now. Not need to worry anymore. "Go and sin no more."1 point

Buy whatever has the best seal that you can find. Don't turn it on, use lots of beads, change the temp of the room that the humi is located in, much easier imo!1 point
