Started with a flourish of vanilla, floral notes and solid earth. Magnificent beginning which transcended to more traditional bolivar character I associate with the BCG in the second half (one of my favorites). Finished full and plate-licking good. What a triumph. 93-95 points now IMO.

This one was quite alright but I don’t regret selling the rest of that box.

This was a bit of an indulgence: a late morning Fundy. ARS JUL 19 so a very young stick. It’s my first from a fragile looking box with verrry thin claro-colorado wrappers, this one with a fairly big crack at the foot. However, construction and burn turned out to be excellent, and the flavours were classic Trini burnt cakes. Started out quite mild (as lanceros do), and I particularly love that cool first third. Really looking forward to the rest of the box now.

 

 

And from a few days ago, a rich little RyJ Petit Royale from SMA JUN 18. I love these for a short, tasty smoke.

Today has been a day of pleasant surprises: Juan Lopez Seleccion no 1 on 24:24, and given three Cohiba Esplendidos. It would obviously have been rude not to smoke one of them straight away!

'15 Shorts. Not a fan of aged but this is one exception. It's sweet with spice, almost like a Diplo2.
