Popular Post SigmundChurchill Posted August 22, 2019 Popular Post Posted August 22, 2019 I accidentally discovered these QdO Capitolios, and they have become one of my favorite cigars. 31

Popular Post RDB Posted August 22, 2019 Popular Post Posted August 22, 2019 RG Perla from GOS MAY 18. Such fabulous rich flavour in this tiny smoke. Burnt sugar, touch of leather, molasses and vegetal earth. Smokes slowly: heavy stick for the size. Wish they made a Corona Gorda! 23
Popular Post JohnS Posted August 22, 2019 Popular Post Posted August 22, 2019 Sancho Panza Non Plus ABR Sep 2011 This is the first Sancho Panza Non Plus I've smoked since the 2019 deletions have been announced through 5ta Avenida and I feel some mixed emotions. Firstly, a little mournful that yet another Petit Corona is getting the 'chop' and secondly, completely unsurprised that the Non Plus will leave the Sancho Panza marca down to one vitola (the Belicosos) as it has never been a big seller. Heck, I doubt it's ever been a 'average sales' cigar either. This was thankfully 'spot on' in regards to the draw and construction was fine, there were no issues with the burn. The cigar was mainly wood and salt and in terms of strength, it had plenty of legs in it, there was no hint of floral notes or creaminess one associates with aged Sancho Panza. I'm down to my last few now and I envisage I will pick up another box for prosperity sake quite soon. 24

I think I have one in the ready box and may have to smoke it later. 2

Popular Post earthson Posted August 23, 2019 Popular Post Posted August 23, 2019 Too dark for a pic, but '17 ERDM Demi Tasse. Whoa! SO much flavor and character for such a small cigar! Nuts, citrus, cocoa, mustiness, sweet marshmallow, cedar and gentle earth all continuously evolving and morphing. Gawd, what I wouldn't give for a long skinny of these to be brought back into regular production! I missed the haydays of Tainos and Grandes de España. Edit: still got an inch and a half left and getting some sort of rich candy note. It may be caramel cream. 10/10! Edit 2: Hell's bells, I'm going to smoke another one! Edit 3: The second one was undefilled and was little more than citrusy earth. I'm finding the best of these are packed firm and the loose ones are garbage. Unacceptable given the pricetag. I'm going to have to revisit the Choix Supreme next time I need to re-up in a robusto size. 14

Popular Post THEMISCHMAN Posted August 23, 2019 Popular Post Posted August 23, 2019 SEA MAR 17 Non Plus thanks to inter4alia. I have to laugh a little when I smoke these. I read a lot of descriptions of flavors for certain cigars and some I can relate to and some I just can’t. However, when it comes to these and the Belicoso I totally get the salty driftwood thing. Very firm feeling cigar but the draw is very good. The burn got wonky for about half an inch in the first third but sorted itself out and has been straight ever since. Nice little cigar with a unique profile. Farewell, Non Plus. Nice breeze tonight so I felt like enjoying another. LAR OCT 12 Perlas. Another great little cigar. 25

Popular Post Islandboy Posted August 23, 2019 Popular Post Posted August 23, 2019 Picked up some Opus X while in the Pacific Northwest last summer, quite the cinnamon treat after just a year down. Just noticing the similarities in profile to Rio Seco, but with a NC kick to it. Goes great with Big Swell IPA. 22

Popular Post SigmundChurchill Posted August 23, 2019 Popular Post Posted August 23, 2019 Kind of a dreary morning, but it usually burns off by mid morning. Got coffee in town and started this Esplendido. Then I went over to the public beach for a change in scenery to finish it. 29
