It’s a nice cigar.  I have never really been into custom rolls in general, but he gave me one or two that knocked my socks off.  I wouldn’t call this one “great”, but it is good, and has a nice flavor.  I am enjoying it.

Hey Elliot, I think that there is an (HLP) Hector Luis Prieto BHK 56. I only bought a handful of those back in May. They're drop dead gorgeous silky wrappers and busting with flavor. I've had 3 of them and by far the best custom rolled cigars I've ever smoked. My intention is to pick a full bundle up come November. Glad you enjoyed it brother!

2424 UBM OCT 2017 MEDIO SIGLO PSP. While some current COHIBAS are a disappointment to me, these are not.  Last year these were kinda bread and honeycomb, nice,  now it’s all baking spice and cedar with a very pleasant oily mouthfeel, 2 points better .  Wants to be smoked very slowly. First inch took me 40 minutes. Wish I had more, lots more.

This was the second cigar I had from this box and it had very similar flavours to the first one I had not too long ago. Fruit, spice and toasty wood flavours were to be had in the main, perhaps this was a little more toasty and less woody than my last La Gloria Cubana Medaille d'Or No.4.

Be mindful, although I'm confident that many of you are aware of this, that these skinny ring gauge cigars really benefit from smoking more slowly. The reason for this recommendation is to prevent the cigar becoming too hot and thus preventing a build-up of potentially bitter flavours.

I think there are some other Aussies that post here who are currently residing and working outside Australia, but from within, yes, it may be only us!

Los Statos De Luxe Selectos 1990

Not really much to this. Had some vintage taste to it but otherwise on the bland side. The Hazy IPA helped to lift it and provide some more flavours. The burn was razor sharp and the smoke content voluminous and pleasant.

EML JUL 14 Diplomaticos No. 2 paired with a Lagavulin Little Sumpin' Sumpin' Ale. Ok pairing, but a great day finshed up seven afternoon shifts today and got the next 48hrs off till my sheiks turns to the dreaded midnight shift, but for now its my Friday. Hour you all are having a good week thus far.

Punch Punch 48 LGR Ene 2018

After eighteen months there has been no doubt in my mind that these have got better with age. The smoke output on this in the first third was exemplary! Cedar, peanut and cloves, citrus twang and a hint of cream, if you have picked up a box of these make sure to give them a little time to see how they develop!

Towards the middle of the last third it got a little hot and the flavours mellowed out, which indicates to me that this box can still benefit from some more time down. The development of flavours at this point in comparison to a year ago reminds me of how some of my Ramon Allones Superiores LCDH sticks have similarly improved over time for me in the past. In my opinion, this Habanos Specialist Punch 48 release is a winner.

First time smoking a Trinidad Vigia. This one is from May 18. I am discovering I am not a fan of the fatter ring gauges, but the flavor is excellent. 

Vanilla and spice. Smooth exhale and retrohale. Bit of woodiness between puffs. Could be a bit of fruit in there. Fruit cake, maybe? 

Interested in trying a smaller Trinidad vitola.
