Popular Post Connoisseur Kim Posted May 10, 2019 Popular Post Posted May 10, 2019 Had HU Robustos Anejados during online herf with Rob. The cigar itself still meh to me (like Rob I prefer regular productions such as CORO, JL 2, RASS, LGC MdO 4 and Connie A over Anejados cigars) but the online herf was so great! Lesson Learned: Rest cigars at least 30-60 days when you receive the order. It ensures better burning (its burning was not that bad though) and taste! Tip for Newbies: Having herf is always joyful and merrier. So those who never participated herf day before, don't be afraid and just having a great time with BOTLs at herf. You can thank me later! 14

SmokinNukie Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 Had a great Cohiba Maduro today! bought it from a friendly guy who said his brother works in the factory, Imagine my luck! The first few puffs tasted fresh and earthy, not unlike a dog ****, and it mellowed into dead leaves and turpentine. Just dont know about the authenticity of the band, I know theres a few terrible fakes out there, but I can usually spot them ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND BUDS Was that thing run over by a tank before you smoked it? The wrapper looks battle-worn. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Popular Post JohnS Posted May 10, 2019 Popular Post Posted May 10, 2019 Partagás Serie D No.6 RAE Dic 2014 I'm down to my last two from the box after smoking this one, and as usual, they keep getting better. The Partagas Serie D No.6 was released in 2014. It's a mercurial addition to the Partagas marca, firstly due to the size (50 ring gauge x 90 mm) and secondly (and I believe foremost) due to the packaging. The square wooden single-tiered box made this awkward for Habanos S.A to price competitively in comparison to other similar cigars of the same size and as a result these have been a slow seller. They've only just come into some discounting in the last 12 months and I can't help but feel it's about time. In the meantime, if you've sampled these and aged them, they are coming along quite nicely. Sourdough, coffee and leather and medium-mild, alas there's no pepper or spice to found here, otherwise evident were standard core Partagas DNA flavours. I hope these can be repackaged into double-tiered semi-boite nature or dress boxes, thus allowing more boxes to be shipped into mastercases, and hence their pricing might come down and become more realistic relative to their size. 26

Popular Post Markspring1978 Posted May 11, 2019 Popular Post Posted May 11, 2019 As there has been all the hubbub about the Medio Siglo, I thought I’d give it a whirl as well. I haven’t bought a box of these, but got this one (TPO SEP 16) in a trade. Paired it with a Dalmore Cigar Malt Reserve from a sample someone gave me. The Scotch is very rich, loaded with caramel and a hint of citrus. The citrus pairs quite well with the Cohiba lemony zest. (P.S. Found the elk antlers behind my house last weekend, nice matched set. Only 4 months until I can chase that critter, for those of you who are into that sort of thing.) Burn started off questionable and I was wondering if I was going to have a construction debacle like @99call did with his. Fortunately, the cigar straightened out and was classic Cohiba, honey hay with a touch of leather. The tobacco is all class and a great smoke at just over 50 minutes, but I’m a low and slow guy. The end of the cigar I got more leather and a mineral essence. Not sure I’d buy a box of these as I’m more of a IV or VI fan, but definitely wouldn’t turn my nose up at them. 22 1
Popular Post jtfrizzy Posted May 11, 2019 Popular Post Posted May 11, 2019 AUM NOV 14 Cohiba Corona Especiales paired with a little Lagavulin 16 yr. scotch and my makeshift short term band collector/lighter case made its way into the photo along with my lighter. Ohh so many bands. I've been collecting them forever it seems and for some reason I don't know exactly why yet, but I know I can do something cool with them. Just got to figure out exactly what. Either way have a good weekend all. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk 26
