It was OK for me, but milder than I was expecting. I like the flavors that were there, but they were all too faint to me. It's like an Alma Del Campo (a much better stick) that fell way flat. Combine that with the fact Plasencia seems to be copying Davidoff's pricing, and I won't reach for these either. 2
Popular Post El Hoze Posted Sunday at 06:52 PM Popular Post Posted Sunday at 06:52 PM 2008 Sig VI from a tube. Fantastic. I leave home tomorrow and have over 100 days of snowboarding planned between now and the end of April. My cigar strategy is about 3-4 bundles of Sovereign Suns…so trying to get some nice variety in before I leave. 21 1

Popular Post SigmundChurchill Posted Sunday at 10:29 PM Popular Post Posted Sunday at 10:29 PM After the long journey to Courchevel that started the evening before, I finally get to just sit here on the balcony and have a cigar. The concierge gifted me this Davidoff. Interesting smoking experience. The Les Airelles Hotel in Courchevel. I went there with my son for a cigar tonight. I thought our hotel was nice, but this place was a palace. We were looking all over for the smoking lounge until someone finally told us it was in a cabin across the courtyard. They had an insane arrangement of cognacs to choose from, but there was no bartender. You just help yourself and they charge you afterwards. Glad I brought my own Siglo VI because the menu had them priced at 370 Euros. 27 3

The Game Over was released in 2021 and the Handsaw in 2022, both under Nomad due to release size, but originally EZ level blends according to the marketing copy I found. Both still huge and monolithic and with flavors on the harsh side. A lack of finesse? I like the people and don't mind the sales schtick of 'the greatest cigars ever,' but it does get exhausting when everything is described as sweet and rich and presents savory and rough. 2 1
