Popular Post Lucas Buck Posted Friday at 07:29 PM Popular Post Posted Friday at 07:29 PM MSU SEP17 (OR) QdO 54 - my first - bought these upon release fully intending to wait 10 years before smoking (yes, I am THAT guy) but got tired of passing them over every damn time I see them. Whole wheat toast, walnut, baking spice. Retro golden raisins and white pepper. Passive aromas fresh baked wheat bread. Second third sweet cloves & cardamom. Medium full strength which quite surprised me having smoked boxes of the Coronas with their consistent mild body. One of the most ’bready’ cigars I’ve ever smoked. Superlative construction - not surprising at all from an OR box. Just over 2 hours and I think these could use another few years age to their advantage. 27

It seems like a generation ago (as the the sale of Habanos S.A.'s partnership share to a Hong Kong conglomerate, the Covid-19 pandemic and Cigarmageddon mid-2022 has changed the industry a lot since then), but these original Quai d'Orsay No.50 and No.54 release were 'hotter', indeed more in demand than Cohiba when they were originally released in 2017/18. 5

Popular Post VasileDulap Posted Saturday at 04:34 PM Popular Post Posted Saturday at 04:34 PM Juan Lopez Lancero Adriatico ESM DIC 24. I’m going to split the tasting notes into quarters. First quarter: cream, cedar and some citrus notes. Second quarter: sweet spices and cake. Third quarter: milk chocolate. Last one: dark chocolate, coffee and earth. Edit: 1 hour and 45 minutes smoking time. Good draw. Had to correct the burn 2 times in the first half and relight once towards the end. 19
