jfury76 Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 right now old La Flor De Canos that I bought in the late 90's
thurmanmunson Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 8:50 am in the backyard, coffee and a Trini Reyes from 06, just lit it, leather and nuts, great smoke.
Evo03 Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 A March 07 Partagas Connie #3 with my coffee. This one could have used more time in the humidor. Not as rich and smooth as the others from the box. But still very enjoyable.
Don Candido Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Cohiba Siglo V (not sure of the date - I would have to actually get up and look.)
Gryphon Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 RyJ Short Chrchills URA OCT 07. First few from this box were very average. Today it showed more flavour, less bite. It is improving with time. Good smoke, not remarkable
perfectform Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 PSD4 and coffee to start the day...One of my favorites...
zuma Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 A scrumptious Partagas Short RSB FEB 06 with black coffee... only a few left from this box
sliver54 Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Smoked a BBF sitting on the dunes at the beach today. I have a Cohiba Esplendido lined up for a BBQ tonight. Cheers!
El Presidente Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 enjoying a Bolivar Corona Extra Aug 07 as I tap away on Monday e-mails. Oily dark wrapper, sweet, dark and rich flavour. Medium body. Perfect with a black coffee.
brutusthebuckeye Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Juan Lopez Sel #2...TPG nov 07......half way thru this box and they have been great....
thurmanmunson Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Had a RASS after lunch, MAR 07, spicy fruit, long finish. A Boli PC while grilling the steaks, MAR 08, really rich, raisinee plum earthiness? probably my favorite smoke. Fed the baby, his first meal of green peas, I think he liked it. Just made some Bustelo, and lit a PLPC NOV 07, clean tobacco right now.
Jakester Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Winding down the day with a 2005 RA Belicosos, my second from this box. It's been nearly a year since I smoked the first one and the dark, "charry" notes have dissipated significantly. These seem to be coming into their own - truly a sublime and intoxicating smoke. Paired with a snifter of Vizcaya VXOP rum. Life is good . . .
mbrody Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Great Petit Punch to start the day...Secretos from Jerome during the Yankee game (Raisinettes then cocoa all over it). Finished the day with a glorious Mag46 - immediately ordered more!
hoyopr Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Feb 06 Dip #3, these have been great, todays was sweet like a sweet baked bread with spice and wood. Funny box press, it looked rectangular but I don't judge a book by it's.
PigFish Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 I smoked 3 cigars today starting with a Party Lonsdale while with the horses and doing chores... too far back to remember! -LOL With a friend this afternoon I took in a PLPC (07) that I had left in my travel humi since Easter. That was a damn fine cigar, probably one of the best PLPC that I have ever smoked. After that I enjoyed an Upmann PC which was quite enjoyable as well. I am already thinking on what to smoke tomorrow; maybe a Monte #1 or Especial.
Evo03 Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Smoked an 07 Monte Especial #2 this morning. Incredibly rich, refined, and concentrated flavors. Highly recommended
elderboy02 Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 I had a Monte #4. I am not sure of the year on it. It wasn't that great. Harsh and metallic
Ken Gargett Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 had an LGC 1. bloody awful. hard, poor draw, had to relight a dozen times. no redeeming features at all.
greenpimp Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Halfway through a Monte 2 from early 04. These have really come around, apparently. The aroma is wonderful and the smoke is very rich and flavorful. Haven't had one for a couple years, and they sucked arse back then.
Ginseng Posted May 26, 2009 Author Posted May 26, 2009 Padron Serie 1926, one of the big parejos but not the biggest. Pretty much I've come to expect. Savory but monotonous. Rafael Gonzalez Cigarritos. Such a good little stick I had two! Wilkey
brutusthebuckeye Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Monte 2...mar 07....good,but still a bit ruff....
MIKA27 Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Padron Serie 1926, one of the big parejos but not the biggest. Pretty much I've come to expect. Savory but monotonous. Rafael Gonzalez Cigarritos. Such a good little stick I had two!Wilkey The Padron serie 1926 are not too bad but I found that they are a little 'heavy' if that makes sense? Almost like feeling bloated after smoking one....
MIKA27 Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 I just finished a Bolivar Belicosos Finos. A very nice medium to full bodied cigar, with a strong coffee taste with the addition of spice and a hint of nuts. Quite a nice cigar considering it's 08 stock.
