I do not like phones in the gym. My gym, several have their phones on a tripod filming their workout. I keep my phone on silent in the locker. The world can wait until I am done working out. 1 1

We have that as well people recording themselves. Today I did a full work whilst one person was just lounging on there phone on one piece of gym machinery. 1
westg Posted September 4 Posted September 4 The last thing I want, with or near me in the gym, is my f*****g phone. In fact I can't wait for the day I not longer need one. 3
joeypots Posted September 4 Posted September 4 User names and passwords. It's better than it used to be but I have one account that uses a system that is particularly obtuse. This peeve goes into the don't get me started bin. 1 1

Popular Post chasy Posted September 4 Popular Post Posted September 4 Living in downtown Chicago, crime really peeves me. It's been pretty depressing to see my pocket of the city deteriorate as much as it has since Covid. 95% of people are living life like normal people and 5% are ruining something that was once great. Theft, shooting, car jackings, random robberies and muggings. Store closures up and down Michigan Ave. The US is a 'high trust' society. We take for granted all the luxuries we benefit from being a 'high trust' society. All it takes is a small number of people willing to violate trust in order to cause chaos for the masses. It's been quite something to witness first hand and the knock on effects are real and consequential. I'm hopeful we can turn the corner on it all. But I'm a severe optimist. 9 1

My wife and I are fighting the good fight on this with our 6 year-old, who also happens to be a tech/engineering wiz. I will also borrow this! We’ve had success with our 11 y/o daughter but my 8 y/o son is a different matter! 1

The new kiosks ask for tips on stuff that never warranted one. 5 1
westg Posted Thursday at 09:38 PM Posted Thursday at 09:38 PM The world has indeed gone quite mad. So easily to be offended. So sensitive. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DOHtsIrD6xx/?igsh=MXExZHd3OGNtYmF5cQ== 1
LordAnubis Posted Thursday at 11:40 PM Posted Thursday at 11:40 PM Jobs that don’t offer part time or flexible hours or work from home. Crazy! I don’t understand people who have employees they trust so little that they feel they need to be helicopter micromanaged. 2

As a cop I’ve chased stolen cars (not knowing they are driven by juveniles) and they drive more wreckless than adults. They are posting on social media during the pursuit like it’s funny. Juvenile hall won’t take them. Have to release to the parents. (Another incredible feat trying to find an adult, dad is never there. Sometimes the mom says they won’t come out.) They are laughing the whole time. Good citizens in danger. So frustrating. 5 2

Puros Y Vino Posted Friday at 09:40 PM Posted Friday at 09:40 PM So many things to choose from. The one thing that has always driven me nuts if hypocrites/hypocrisy. Nothing irks me more than those who do differently than what they preach. A good chunk of the world's problems could be solved by tackling this one alone. 4

I read ebooks on my phone during workouts. Normally a page is the right length for a rest interval (two pages if a heavy lower body compound is kicking my butt). Go ahead and hate me if you wish, but last year I was reading the Iliad and I swear some of the passages psyched me up for a heavy set better than heavy metal ever could. 2 1
Bill Hayes Posted yesterday at 12:49 AM Posted yesterday at 12:49 AM 1. Job hunting in the age of A.I. for over 50's. You have to cut and paste the copy from the job ad into A.I. and ask it for the keywords then can it craft a cover letter and a CV for you then apply that to your CV just to get past the A.I. bots controlling candidate selection to cull the list down from the hundreds of fake applications. And that's just to get to first base. 2. My city Melbourne - Was once the world's most liveable city but now has lost it's charm due to mismanagement and corruption, resulting in youth crime, motorcycle gang wars over building cites and tobacco shops and the heavy taxes on small businesses in the food and entertainment industries. Most people really can't afford to leave their home to go out for a meal, even at the local pub. And don't start me on the price of beer, wine and spirits. 3. World leaders - no comment. Don't want to get banned. 1
99call Posted yesterday at 07:54 AM Posted yesterday at 07:54 AM Plastic patriots and flag shaggers in the UK. Idiots who pretend to patrol the streets "to keep communities safe", meanwhile in reality they are just getting drunk, violent, abusive, and daubing racist hateful graffiti on Chinese takeaways and British Muslim families houses. Utter, utter scum. 1
