cnov Posted January 29 Posted January 29 I just saw a clip of Simon Squibb asking a lady how much he would have to pay her to never vape again? She said £1k but when he offered to send the money she reneged. Bit of a silly question, but how much would he have to pay you to stop smoking cigars indefinitely? 1

I am unsure where that number came from....... In retrospect, I would pull out of the deal before the money was sent. Paraphrasing Churchill, “I have taken more out of cigars than cigars have taken out of me”. 2 4
Pigpen Posted January 29 Posted January 29 My first thought was a few box of aged COROs and then I would lie. 1 1 1
ha_banos Posted January 29 Posted January 29 £200M ... But then what would I do if I was not smoking cigars after that!? 😭 Glad it's a theoretical exercise. But if anyone's thinking otherwise do call... 1 2
Popular Post 99call Posted January 29 Popular Post Posted January 29 Jeese, you boys are greedy. I would take 100K and then simply continue on a technicality for the win. I can't believe it took the comprehensive educated FOH to come up with the loophole...you guys are slipping!!! 3 4
Chibearsv Posted January 29 Posted January 29 I've already quit drinking, my last vices are cigars and gambling. Pay me to quit gambling instead. You can't pay me to quit cigars. 3
cnov Posted January 29 Author Posted January 29 It's a tough one, if I had enough money I'd have a lot more time to sit around and smoke cigars! Maybe I could smoke a pipe for £4m. 1 2
Ford2112 Posted January 29 Posted January 29 I would give up cigars before I ever gave up coffee. And I would take 100 mil to stop smoking cigars. Then I would find a loop hole. Toscanos? 3
Jack Posted January 29 Posted January 29 For a variety of reasons, none of them health related, I find myself smoking less and less overall. Just Cigars? Wouldn't mind $200k to fix the house up a bit and buy a new truck. Honestly if you had cash in hand $50k would suffice. I've got a stash of Balkan Sobranie pipe tobacco packets and other things to keep me busy. 2 1

I'm torn between envy for the level of contentment in your lives, and pity for your lack of imagination. 1 1
BrightonCorgi Posted January 29 Posted January 29 I'd give up cigars before I give up dairy, meat, or wine. 2
DeeBeezy Posted January 29 Posted January 29 What use is money to me if can’t build... 1. A walk in humidor 2. A cigar lounge in my home 3. An expansive cigar collection
unaslob Posted January 29 Posted January 29 How do you answer when all you can think about is the cigars/boxes you could buy with said money? A paradox it is. 2 1
riderpride Posted January 29 Posted January 29 I can't be bought. My smoking barely registers on the scale due to a lack of time or even a place to smoke as we moved into a new build and don't have a deck yet. I'd rather have the option to smoke and not be able to get the time to than to have the option removed whatever the price tag is. Cheers! 1
Rhinoww Posted January 30 Posted January 30 It’s funny, or not, but if I gave up smoking and sold my now aged stock I would end up with a very tidy sum. For this hypothetical I think there are quite a few members here who could “pay” themselves to quit smoking. Nah. I’m gonna make some ash and piss off my wife instead😂 Speaking of which… 2

I believe it was stolen from Gandalf the Grey!! 🥳😂🤣 As to the question, purchase my collection at BR, value and toss in a cruise around the world, and we have a deal.
Havanaaddict Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Cigars are the love of life besides my family, it is the calm in the storm! I already had to quiet coffee & wine because of acid reflux😩 what am I going to do with $$$ if I am not happy!
MrBirdman Posted January 30 Posted January 30 That depends on whether the offer was made public - or at least known to family. Some of them would probably disown me if I turned down 6 figures to keep smoking cigars. Otherwise it’s in the 7 figure territory. 1
