come on, John. we both know that the real aim of this thread is to give the moderators the opportunity to ban those who won't be able to help themselves. it is our version of spring cleaning.

but that said, what has happened to the planet - if someone offered me the choice between a cro-magnon knuckle dragger, jack's revenge, warfighter night shift, a la bomba warhead, a skull and bones and a knuckle sandwich, at what stage am i expected to think we might be talking cigars?

i don't blame the guys. this is apparently marketing today.

how long before one goes to the supermarket and has a choice between throatslasher milk and serial killer cream?

i am not certain we are sending the youth of today the right message.

Yep. I was reading that list and thinking seriously. That said, nothing I would reach out and buy on it either. Cheers John.

Very well said, I must say I don't know much about the NC market and from far away it doesn't appeal to me a bit...

There probably are good cigars in there though 🤔

It seems akin to what the bulk wine industry did by adding crazy names to get their bottles to stand out and create buzz amongst suburban housewives.

Alma Fuerte is a very good cigar in my opinion. I have tried the Sin Compramiso on a few occasions and its just a boring cigar. Have not had anything else from the list.

Same opinion here on these 2 cigars. Seems like they have a strong preference for fatties/52+ ring gauges, too.

Number 15 sucks. I really like Halfwheel, they are credible but to credit this particular line of Davidoff is bizarre.

Have you had that one?

NC needs to relax a bit when it comes to naming their cigars.

Couldn't have said it better myself 😂🤣

What I always find interesting is looking at a list and seeing it contains cigars that I also felt were some of the best that year, while simultaneously including some of the worst.

But we see that on our panel as well. All four of us agreeing is a rarity.

Love what the guys at HW do, some of the best in the industry.

I’ve only had #10, and it’s worthy...not inexpensive, but quite good IMO.

I agree. Great cigar.

Admittedly, I haven’t smoked many from the list but choosing any of those over an ordinary excellent Punch Punch would be hard for me. Never mind almost any other Cuban cigar in my stash.

I would certainly try the Padron Fuente cigar but not at $200 a pop. Makes me wonder how many they actually smoked before assigning it to the list...🤔?

I think a cigar should at the very least have the makers name on it. Only tried 2 new world cigars one was Arturo Fuente (mid range I think) and the other a Davidoff Churchill late hour. Both were excellent. I prefer Cubans...
