Popular Post El Presidente Posted January 2, 2024 Popular Post Posted January 2, 2024 It is simply unaustralian to. steal someones thongs/flipflops off the beach. You take them off, leave them on the public deck and walk down. They will be there when you get back. ...we are a trusting mob 8
cigcars Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 **Maybe they mistook those for theirs or someone else's. That can happen, you know.

LordAnubis Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 It’s funny. A friend was visiting from America and she had this fear of going to the beach and getting her stuff stolen. I kept telling her ain't nobody stealing her thongs and towel. I didn’t think it was a big thing 😂
99call Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 My missus had her umbrella stolen in Tassie. Jesus! If there's one thing you don't do to a pom, it's to steal their brolly...a blood oath of vengeance was struck that day. It's been well over 5yrs and she's still not let it go. 1 1
Chibearsv Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 I understand leaving your shoes out of the sand. But isn't the purpose of sandals and flip flops to be used in the sand? I don't understand why they're removed.

The purpose of thongs/flipflops at the beach is to meet the footwear requirement to go into the beach Surf Life Saving club for a beer or six and a Parmi lunch. I am unsure about other parts of the world. 1
ha_banos Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 Parading ones nude feet in public is just not British. I cringe when i see feet in photos on here! Put them away! 1

My sentiments exactly. Except at the beach or pool, keep them things covered up. Feet in pics is just cringeworthy!

It's well known all members of the Royal Family get a sexual perversion pass or SPP. How else are they supposed to the keep the great unwashed masses (Me) in fresh supply of tittle tattle if there is not incessant toe suckery going on in the fashy tabloids? How are we supposed to entertain ourselves, whist queuing in the grey drivng rain to get our ration books stamped? Besides there is nothing sexy about this image whatsoever. Fergie had simply dropped some Beluga Caviar onto her toes, and one of her 'helpers' was simply A, not wasting food, and B, preventing a fall. Simples! 1
Ford2112 Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 I would think footwear would be a necessity in Australia. Probably some sand flea there that if it bites you they have to amputate. 3

What my fellow Australians take for granted is that Australia is surrounded by beach from coast to coast and the sand on those beaches is the brilliant, soft yellow variety that is easy on the feet...not rocky like in other parts of the world. 85% of Australians live within half an hour drive of the beach. Beach culture is part of the Australian way of life. The climate is conducive for it too. 2

Ken Gargett Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 kiwis. i don't wish to condemn an entire nation but if your things have been pinched on a beach, 99% chance it was a kiwi. sometimes there is a reason for a stereotype. i swear, those guys must have competitions to see how many thongs they can steal or perhaps it is a national fetish. 2

ha_banos Posted January 3, 2024 Posted January 3, 2024 Just please stop referring to them as thongs! All sorts of wrong with that!
