Cohiba Piramides Especial EL 2022 (YPCRW)

After lamenting with my FOH @madandana regarding being priced out of the "premium" marcas, Mike and Dana went on vacation in Mexico and were thoughtful enough to pick me up a 5 pack of the 2022 EL Cohiba Piramides Especiales! I know that the regular release of these are $100+ / stick, I can only guess what these set them back. Can anyone confirm that NZR is the new El Laguito factory code? Mike mentioned that the guy he bought these from had a brother-in-law that worked there...

Normally, I would rest them for at least 30 days, but I was so excited that I decided to burn one ROTT!!!

My cigar lounge is my garage. There, surrounded by my carpentry shop, I make things that make life a little easier. The last couple of weeks I've made a lever cheese press. Based on the principals of Archimedes, either his math was flawed or mine is. I'm betting on the latter... This press I call the "Mark 1" as I built it from pictures I found on the internet. The Mark II will fix what I already don't like. 

Usually, I'll burn a Boli PC or P short while working at the bench. This Cohiba demands all of my attention! More of a rosado wrapper than I would expect from a Cohiba, but I don't have much experience with the Edition Limitada. The draw is perfect! Like Hamlet said during the Canonazo roll out, not too firm and definitely not too weak. Again, a different blend from the regular Cohiba I've had. None of the light lemon grass/citrus/cinnamon notes that are generally accepted. This is more of a woody, butternut and coffee/mocha. Beautiful stick! I can hardly pay attention to my woodworking project, as this stick keeps pulling me back to leisure mode. Enticing and enthralling. 

I've reached out to @Elpresidente to see if he can source some of these 5'er's for FOH. So far, he hasn't responded. I'll keep you posted when he does...

I burned this to the nub! For being a 2022 release, it is very reminiscent of the box of MSU SEP 19 P2's that I have. So much so, that if you blindfolded me and put them side to side, I'm certain I couldn't tell the difference...🤔
