brutusthebuckeye Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 Ozzy was cool 30-40 years ago. Modern day Ozzy is almost “Weekend at Bernie’s”style. Guy is a mess 1

Puros Y Vino Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 He has a new album coming out which is pretty much guest appearances. First single has Jeff Beck on guitar and it's great. 1

I grew up in the late 70's/ early 80's when heavy rock ruled the world. And at almost 56 I still live for heavy rock n roll. I wish I could relive the 80's. It was a great decade. Much simpler times, and less hate and division in the world. 7

By 1978 I was 9yo and was already spinning my brother's UFO, Priest, Van Halen, Rush, etc records. The 80's was the pinnacle of Rock and Metal music. Even radio was decent. I was discovering Accept, Raven, Y&T, Maiden, Scorpions. Nowadays? Non stop Bieber, Weekend and a handful of "nevershouldhaves" on rotation every 40 minutes. The last new music that grabbed me was Chris Stapleton. 2

BoliDan Posted July 3, 2022 Posted July 3, 2022 I've always wanted to get Keith Richards and Ozzy together just to sit down and shoot the 💩. It would be the most unintelligible conversation in history. 2
Bijan Posted July 3, 2022 Posted July 3, 2022 I really like the first two black Sabbath albums. Crazy train is just ok for me and that's solo... 1

But his legacy has far exceeded his 25 years of life 40 years later. Amazing how some live such short lives, but inspire and influence generations of music lovers for decades. I remember walking into the local record store in 1980 and buying Blizzard of Oz. 3
BrightonCorgi Posted July 3, 2022 Posted July 3, 2022 "Diary of a Madman" is Ozzy's best solo album. As for Sabbath, I am partial to Dio's singing. My favorite Ozzy backed Sabbath album is "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath". 2

Beats the hell out of that boy band crap you listen to. Put on the headphones and play the album Paranoid loud! You’ll finally turn off N Sync forever. 😎 2 2

All the younger folks here laughing at Ozzy just might eat their words. Ozzy may well outlive you all!! He is known by just his first name (nickname), wealthy as hell, and has outlived his alcoholism, drug addictions and Parkinsons disease. And he has the status at 73 years old to have tons of famous guitarists and other musicians collaborate with him on his new albums. Any of you who think you have that level of carte blanche go ahead and step forward..😂 1

My parents bought me my first electric guitar when I was around 11 years old. First song I learned was Iron Man. I’ve been a huge Ozzy/Sabbath fan my whole life. About 5 years ago I had the opportunity to hang out with Ozzy back stage in his dressing room at Madison Square Garden before a show. When he found out I was an anesthesiologist, he had all kinds of questions for me. We talked for about 45 minutes. I have met plenty of celebrities in my life, but he was definitely one of the most down to earth. Not an ounce of pretension in the guy. Hope he is doing alright after his recent neck surgery. 9
