So with no alterior motive Pres wants us to smoke half a cigar and ditch it. Nothing suss.

My question to you is, what part of a cuban cigar, in general, do you find the most enjoyable?

For me personally, i would have to say the first inch is often the most enjoyable to me. Maybe its just that burst of new flavours that hit your mouth, or whatever, but i find i enjoy that the most. Do you generally find the last half of a cigar not enjoyable anyway? Do you think it's the best bit?

Interesting question. I would have to say when the cigar starts locking in at around the halfway point to the second third for me.

Depends on the size/vitola. Large formats are too light in the first third and have to build up while smaller formats hit with plenty of flavour right away. So it varies for me between first and second third.

Completely agree - I am hesitant to even vote in the poll because my answer varies by cigar, vitola, and age. With most smokes it's either first or second third. First inch is practically first third on most vitolas I smoke (I divide into thirds based on the length minus the final inch or so, which I count as the nub). But the best smokes tend to peak in the final third.

I subscribe to the hay, divine and slurry philosophy. The cigar needs to develop through the first third to really shine. I do enjoy the initial rush of flavor and aroma. Have been known to nub one or two on occasion as well.

Depends on the specific example at the time.

For excellent CCs, I always enjoy them from the beginning to the end. However, when I have wheel of torture cigars like Gurkha, I'm definitely gonna throw'em to a fire pit in order to free myself from the torment of s$#tass wheel of torture cigars with giving -∞ points 😂.

I like this answer, encapsulates the whole wider experience albeit from the other side...
Who doesn't get a little vicarious thrill on seeing the reply "You have a box"?

I typically enjoy the entire first 2/3rds.

Then it starts getting a little hot, and much stronger, and the the taste turns into simply strong tobacco only, so I typically ditch it once that happens

For me, it varies so much with the size/vitola. Having said that, I generally enjoy the flavors at the end of the second third through the final third.
