For certain reason every couple years I spend some money on some really cheap cigars (like 50-80 cents each for Churchill size) wondering how they smoke like. Every time I regretted after smoking a few or just looking at and smelling them.

So my questions is, what do you do with the cigars? I can’t give them to my friends because I don’t give my friends what I don’t like. I feel guilty if I just trash them.

You send them to my uncle.
Seriously, that’s what I do with sticks I know I’ll never smoke. He’s always grateful too.

Where is he located, I am happy to pay for shipping so at least these won’t be wasted.

I can send to you are you can gift to your bil if you don’t mind. I am the only one smoking even in my extended family.

I’ll PM you.
He’s a disabled sub vet. Loves his cigars but is of course on a limited income.  I have sent him everything i know I won’t smoke already and have had other pals (and another forum member here) send sticks they know they won’t use as well.   Nowadays I send him boxes of Cubans for birthdays and Christmases.

I'm in the same boat. I have about 30 very cheap Cigars I'm never going to smoke, but just can't bring myself to throw them out.

Thanks for the offer but he's no hardship case. He can haul his ass to the local shop or wait until I can travel again.
Please feel free to pass on to other worthy parties.

I did donate. I just don’t donate anything I don’t think is good.

You know, though, some folks hammer a Swisher Sweets like it’s the first Lusi from a 50 cab... to each there is their own. 👍

So, it doesn't actually sound like you want anyone to smoke these ...

Www.cigarsforwarriors.org or just save them to give out to new smokers when you have people over. Sometimes a new smoker can’t handle a strong cigar or appreciate a Cuban until they are a seasoned smoker.

*My brother-in-law just recently passed away due to complications with diabetes and he was always somebody who'd smoke ANYTHING I gave him. But basically I just hold on to them until an opportunity to share some "cigars" (ha-ha) with somebody who happens along that's not as educated about them as we are.

I give them to my girlfriend to distribute at her work. She works at a resort sort of place and the guys there love me now. When I show up to the bar it's free drinks, free food.

I really have no other choice. I'm isolated and all my pals are 500 miles away and refuse to smoke. The guys at my girlfriends work smoke and are just wowed by them. I'm glad it makes them happy.

I do, however, drop a few Cubans a month on one of the main cooks at their restaurant. He's a mature fellow with distinctive tastes, and he sets us up with some delicious stuff all week long.

Edit: because there's no cigar store for 200 miles I have to, usually,  order 5 packs or whole boxes. So if I don't like them out they go.

I was wondering when someone here would use my approach.

Cigars (NCs at least the first time) are my tipping system--I offer them to any tradespeople who provide a service (and do a good job).   Probably one in three will take them.   One in ten becomes my new best friend forever.  🙂
