What a treat today, 2 boxes of Party Shorts with 2 years on them already.  Another box of MSU Jul 19 BPCs (which all have been phenomenal), and a box of Sig IVs from Prez that could enter the Claro Wrapper Competition.

I bought the last two clearance offerings. Both boxes were these 2017’s. Both maduro wrappers. Lucky man

Today I received a very nice FOH sampler prize, as a winner of the "Who said that?" competition. The sampler contained a Partagas D4, a Diplomatico #2 and what I believe is the HdM Le Hoyo de San Juan:

This will be the first time that I try the Diplo #2 and the HdM San Juan, so will be looking very much forward to trying these - and from what I can read on the reviews of these I should be in for a treat ? However, as they have been on the road for 6½ weeks they will need a few days rest in humi first ?

The avalanche of shipments continue! The Connie 1’s are the dreaded ‘18 BRE’s. However these look really good with a beautiful wrapper and aroma. Hopefully these end up performing much better than my last box of ‘18 BRE’s.

Amazon - Mantello Spanish Cedar Cigar Tray.  Only comes with the 1 vertical divider though, had the horizontal dividers from other trays.

Forgot to write down the factory code (May 2020), and I’m not home right now but here’s some Rio Seco.

Scored a few singles while on the Isla Mujeres. It’s a little known shop so most of the gems hadn’t been picked over. I was able to pick up a Don Alejandro (box and stick pictured) from 06, a HUPC (only box pictured) from 07, and a LFDC Selectos. I wasn’t able to get the code from the bottom of the Selectos box because of a huge warning sticker. While the prices were quite high, the selection was terrific and majority of sticks carried age.
 

My main worry was bringing them back. I debanded them and came up with an elaborate story of where they came from. Customs didn’t even blink an eye and waved me through.

So a first for me. Got a box w the serial number removed. Ok. That happens periodically even w the reputable resellers. 
 

But this box of PLMC has no box code?  That’s some quality control. 
 

cigars looked good though. Will let them rest for at least thirty before I try to age them by taste ?

OER JUN 20 Punch Double Corona and RAT MAY 20 PL Montecarlo. 
My first double Corona box purchase! 
The wrappers on the PDC are oily, maduro shade. I havnt seen this shade on a punch before but I read darker wrappers are preferred on PDC’s!

I’ll be honest, I’ve loved nearly all my PDCs.  Sure you’ll get the odd few sticks in every box that are wood dominate and kinda boring, but for the most part I’ve always REALLY enjoyed these and their complexity.  I know there’s lot of guys who love em here, but I still felt they were underrated.  Nice score you got there.  Those look delicious.

@Rhinoww are all the hidden serial numbers in the cuban seal rubbed off? Usually they are poorly done and you can piece them together.

I’ll take a look. I honestly have never checked the serial numbers successfully tried it once, didn’t work, and have just limited myself to well know suppliers. Does the verification also give the box code?

@Rhinoww I don’t remember what the info comes up with cause I haven’t bought outside of FOH in over a year and a half so there hasn’t been a need to check authenticity. I attached a link to look up the serial number on the Habanos SA website.
