new resident on the balcony

new addition to the balcony. if you have seen the vids, you'll know that this is to catch water from storms (i am nothing if not high tech). first time we discovered each other, i screamed like a girl (it came out like a shot and for a moment i thought it was a big python coming at me) and the poor thing bolted out of it at high speed and literally jumped off the balcony. long way down for a little possum. 

now, it is happy to let me come very close and peers over the edge to say hi. 

it did try and climb out shortly after i took this and the whole thing toppled over. the poor possum took off like a scalded cat, again.

i ditched one of the anejados that rob left recently. i tried but gave up and into the potplant it went. poor possum  but only got a foot before it ditched it as well. my possum has taste.

Is this one named Bruce as well?  Your Aussie possums are certainly cuter than the American variety.  Ours look like giant zombie rats.

I was going to say the same thing. Ours have this pointy rat like face. Nasty looking things. I get queasy just looking at them .

Because yours are ARE zombie rats... haha (opossums, as opposed to possums; not related in any other way than that they are both mammals...).
