I’m sure this topic has been discussed in the past, but looking to update the thought pattern. What is your current favorite cigar? Mine right now is CoRo.

2017 Por Larranaga Montecarlos and lots of other cigars that are 'close seconds'! :lol3:

Is this the one where folks shorten it to PLMC?

I am not sure anymore after that Cohiba Lancero this weekend. I’m quite conflicted in fact...?

I'd say currently its my TOS SEP 15 PLMC's that I"m just flying through and my BOR ABR 16 Sancho Panza Non Plus. I have certain sticks that I like better, but these are both smoking great right now.

GEO MAR15 Partagas Shorts. Half way through the box, and so far, every one of them has been superb.
MEL FEB17 JLS2. These are spectacular! I am having a lot of trouble keeping my hands off them to allow them more age!

And a shout out to AUB MAR13 H Upmann Mag46. In the past these have been mostly a lack lustre box (too strong and flavour muted), but just recently they have turned a corner. The last I had from this box was one of the best cigars this year so far.

Going to pick a few less obvious recent standouts. Although I have had some great larger format cigars these are punching well above their weight.

04-2015 - ELU - RyJ Mille Fleur

The last couple I have had have been great. First time I have ever picked up cherry notes that others mention when reviewing RyJ. Alongside the PLMC this has got to be one of the better value cigars coming out of Cuba.

06-2017 - TSM - HdM Petit Robusto

Only had four out of the box so far so its early days but I love the flavours you get out of them. Sweet, creamy, touch of marzipan and a punchy strong (for a HdM) finish. Lasts a surprising amount of time too. Smoked slowly you can get about an hour out of it and take it right down to the nub. Not sure how well they will age but the punchy finish gives me hope. Great cigar.

02-2018 - ASR - PL Panetela

I like the PLMC its cheap and full of flavour. Like @HumidorJuan I have a TOS Sep 15 which is smoking really well and I can only imagine will improve with age based on what everyone says here. But the PL Pantela isn't too far behind for me. It is short filler but has a similar (if less refined & consistent) profile to the PLMC, with a slight touch of Cuban cream. It costs ~ $2.00 a stick! If you like the PL profile I would pick up a box of these just to alternate with the PLMCs they are nearly as good and are an absolute bargain.

Probably the MdO No.2 with a few years on them. I'm also smoking faster than I should through a Dippy 2 2014 box.

HdM Le Hoyo de San Juan, just a delicious treat.
This. I'm generally not a fanboy for the larger cigar, but these are excellent.

How long do you think they need to rest to reach their full potential?

JL2 for me. The older ones are aging gloriously but I also love that little bit of a Jack Russell snapping at your ankles about the youngers. Most often get a fruity shortcake biscuit core flavour from them.  Can't go wrong with them at the moment.

Another shout out for the Partagas P2 here-it has displaced the RASS as my current go to and favourite cigar.
