Movement takes place on occasional inspection for condition of boxes for anything unusual.

I am a firm believer of freezing everything but if beetles (fortunate never had) or mold, would rather catch it early.

Cigars are more resilient than we give credit, but if the issues above happen or anything wonky I would hate to jeopardize a large stash. IMHO

Never.  The thought of putting the lit end in my mouth frightens me.

One full rotation over the course of 365.25 days.

You guys don't use a repurposed watch winder?  I thought this was a forum for true aficionados...

If you don't do this already like I do, I highly suggest you get some watch winders ASAP and store all your smokes on a winder.  Ensures even aging.

Never.

Tetris.  The struggle is real.

I move the boxes around every now and then. Does that count? Or do you have to move the cigars inside the box? Couldn’t you just turn the box upside down or a quarter like some people said and get the same effect?

I never grill my cigars...so I don’t know what you’re talking about.

I use an old trick from the hardwood lumber industry... I lacquer both ends to even the drying and prevent split ends ?

I’ve never turned them per say, but I do go through and rearrange every so many months which I guess counts? I also don’t have as large of a collection as many here lol

I guess I'll have to revisit this issue once I accumulate enough sticks for it to matter. In desperate need of stocking up.

Order pre-rotated- the fee is nominal and it'll save you lots of hassle in the future.

I keep the cigars as packaged and try not to touch them at all.

I try not to even look at them after the first peek. Do not disturb sign is out.

I have all my cigars on those hot dog roller things.

I need a smaller one underneath, cause my panetelas keep falling through the rollers.

I try to turn mine at least twice a year, but there are a lot of them.

what do you consider the optimum interval to turn them ?

Is this some sort of North Carolinian humor? Either I am acquiring dementia or your post/joke has gone over my head!

I age in cabs, and I like to turn the cigars to insure uniform moisture, and for this reason, I usually pull from the second or third row down.

seldom do I have a bad burn or tagging.

some folks don't see the need for this, and that is ok too.

What if you have 100 boxes + ? Too time consuming. Life is too short!?

Why derail the thread? The OP had a simple question....

If you don’t have something positive to add, move on.

There is no reason to chastise a long standing member!

No one is being chastised but from the second reply we weren't sure if this was posted in jest or was a serious thing. I have never heard of rotating your cigars, if it is a serious thing then my apologies. Now to figure out how to rotate 94 boxes stored in 6 tupperdors.

I don't see anyone chastising him.  If my attempt at a joke came across that way, I sincerely apologize.

Nobody is chastising him, including myself. Some see his question as humorous, some are just trying to have fun with it. Lighten up mate.
